Delhi University (DU) has announced the dates for undergraduate admission for the academic session 2011-12. For reserved categories (SC/ST of SC/ST/persons with disabilities/J&K migrants/children of war widows) the admission process would commence from May 28 till June 8. Though DU officials have announced a change in the admission procedure for the coming session, Naga Students’ Union, Delhi (NSUD) has asked parents of students in reserved categories seeking admission in University of Delhi not to panic as it is applicable only to aspirants seeking admissions in the general category. Informing this in a press release, NSUD vice president Seve Vadeo said admission process for the reserved categories would continue to be centralized and conducted at university level by office of dean students welfare and the special cell and for courses where admissions are done through entrance exams, separate procedures shall apply as before. Admission committee has been set up by NSUD and parents and students seeking admissions in DU have been requested to contact admission committee members for further queries and assistance. Documents required include: two self attested photocopies of the cast/tribe certificate in the name of the candidate, self attested photocopy of class X, class XII mark sheet. Self attested photocopy of class XII certificate/provisional certificate, two self attested passport size photographs all in original. Aspirants seeking admission for Post Graduate courses are requested to contact the admission committee at the earliest.
Further, school of open learning (correspondence), University of Delhi has also announced dates for sale of prospectus and shall start from June 1for B.A. Programme/B.Com./ B.A. (Hons) Prog. English & Pol. Science, B.Com. (Hons.) courses for the academic session 2011-2012. The Prospectus will be available at the School of Open Learning (North Campus), University of Delhi, Delhi and its South Study Centre, Old Moti Lal Nehru College, Building South Moti Bagh, Nanak Pura from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days. The Prospectus for Post-graduate courses (correspondence) i.e. Hindi, Pol. Science, History, Sanskrit, and M.Com would be available from May 16 at School of Open Learning North Campus & South Study Centre, Old Moti Lal Nehru College Building, South Moti Bagh, Nanak Pura.
