WOKHA: The international candle light memorial service was held at Wokha Town, on the theme “Touching Lives” at LTC Hall organised by WNP+.
The programme was chaired by the coordinator WNP+, Wokha, Thungchanbeni M. Humtsoe. Zurenthung Humtsoe, youth director, WTBC invoke the programme.
Theme speaker, Achumthung Patton highlighted about significance of the candle light memorial service.
President WNP+, spoke on behalf of the positive speaker person (PSP), followed by a short silent prayer. Words of encouragement were delivered by the chief guest, Shaying Sheu, EAC.
TUENSANG: NTDP+ along with the rest of the world observed the 31st International AIDS Candlelight Memorial under the theme “Touching Lives” on Sunday.
NTDP+ on the occasion paid tribute to the lost leaders who went through series of challenges, giving a human face to the epidemic so as reduce stigma and discrimination attached to HIV and AIDS.
NTDP+ felt candlelight memorial, will help communities come together in solidarity to light candles and honor the memory of lost friends, show support for those who are living with the virus, fight stigma associated with the disease, and mobilize individuals with the common goal of responding to the local impact of HIV and AIDS.
NTDP+ people living with HIV and AIDS expressed sympathy to its lost friends who died of AIDS namely, late Mothung who died of AIDS just two days back, Pesha, Khaming, Mongbasikum, and all those who lost their lives of AIDS.
