Altogether 37 students graduated from the senior class of the Sunday School under the Christian Education Department of the Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church on Sunday. With the graduation, the students would now be enrolled in the youth department of the Church.
Delivering the word of God, Director of Aloino Centre, Anisheli spoke on the theme of the programme, “Alhou Kumto” (God’s Strength). She encouraged the graduating class to take the occasion as not the end but a starting point towards achieving greater heights and challenges.
Extracting passages from the Bible, the speaker urged the youth to serve the Lord while they were still strong, hale and hearty.
Associate Children Pastor, Atoholi Assumi conferred the degrees to the graduating senior class. During the programme, the Sunday School students presented a skit titled “King of Hearts” reflective of how God always forgives earthly people in spite of their numerous falls. The outgoing students led the praise and worship team while senior class IX and X presented farewell song.
Meanwhile, on May 22, a felicitation programme for the successful HSLC and HSSLC students is being organized by the Western Sumi Hoho and the DSBC at the Church at 10am.
