May 7 murder case accused eludes

Almost after ten days since the May 7 murder case of a businessman, police has apprehended four persons and sent them to judicial custody but the main accused was reportedly absconding till date. According to police source, it was revealed during the course of interrogation of the four suspects that the main accused was identified as one Manoj hailing from the Nepali community. However, the main accused is not a resident of Nagaland but frequently makes trips from neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh for log business. Police were also yet to establish the address of main accused. It may be mentioned that a log businessman identified as Vileto Pier (45) from Khonoma village was found murdered near Thekrezuma village on May 8 morning. The body of the victim bore cut marks on the head and hands and was believed to have died on the spot the previous evening.
