DVC ban partying, picnicking along Chathe river: The Diphupar Village Council (DVC) in the recent wake of the incident involving a minor who was raped and killed along Chathe River has reiterated its earlier resolution to ban picnicking and partying at the river side beyond 6pm in summer and 5pm in winter. The council stated that appropriate action would be initiated if any person/persons were found violating the notification.
KNO general meeting: The Kyong Nchumchio Okho (KNO) 2nd general meeting will be held on May 21, 3pm at the residence of Robert Odyuo, advisor KNO Duncan Bosti Dimapur. The Okho will discuss on free medical camp which will held in the month of June, and other agendas. All KNO members have been asked to attend the meeting without fail.

WSH felicitation programme: Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) would be organizing a felicitation programme for all Sumi HSLC toppers 2011 on May 22, 10am at Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church. All executive members of WSH, Sumi HSLC toppers and their parents have been requested to attend the programme.

WAPO to launch year of tree plantation: Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO) would be launching year of plantation day 2011 on May 19 at 10am at WAPO Hall Sechü Zubza with a formal launching program with DFO Kohima Temjen, IFS as the resource person. WAPO would be observing year of plantation in 2011, as declared on November 12, 2010.

Committee of estimates, public undertakings meeting: The first meeting of the committee of estimates (2011-2012) Nagaland Legislative Assembly has been convened on May 23, 11am in the committee room of the Assembly building Kohima to chalk out work progamme for 2011. Meanwhile, first meeting of the committee of public undertakings (2011-2012) Nagaland Legislative Assembly would be conducted on May 25, 11 am in the committee room of Assembly building Kohima .
DSO Dimapur informs: District Statistical Officer (DSO), Dimapur has informed all head teacher/teacher in-charge who has been authorized to issue birth certificates in their respective village jurisdiction within Dimapur district to submit the passport photographs, appointment letter for identity card to the office of DSO Dimapur on or before May 31. Asangla, DSO Dimapur in a press statement said the head teacher/teacher in-charge who fails to submit the required documents, would have their appointments cancelled without further intimation. DSO also informed all the heads of departments of Dimapur district to submit the 31st March 2011 employment census report on or before June 30.
GOUN examination: All students of the Global Open University, Nagaland have been informed that the examination for June 2011 academic session would be held from June 21 to 30. All students of the university have been informed to collect examination forms from their respective campuses and to submit it before the last date. GOUN informed that examination forms shall not be accepted without the submission of the assignments and the last date of submission is June 13.

NUVC Intangki inform shareholders: Naga United Village Council (NUVC) Intangki has informed shareholders of the village to settle in the village by May. Failing to cooperate with the order, his/her name in registration would be cancelled and further complaint and request would be entertained, added chairman.

NNC Lotha Region celebrates Plebiscite Day: NNC Lotha Region celebrated 60th Plebiscite Day on May 16. The occasion was marked by thanksgiving to God for His unceasing providence, where Yilow Humtsoe, vice-president NNC Lotha Region chaired the function. The function was attended by region’s executives and members. Yilow Humtsoe reminded the gathering that Nagas have nothing in common with India, and does not share a history, besides racial differences.

BLOs training for PER: District level training for all the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) with the newly appointed BLOs of Kohima district in connection with taking of photographs of all electors for preparation of Photo Electoral Rolls (PER) would be conducted on May 20 at 10:30 am at zonal council hall Kohima. Formal appointed letters could be collected from the HoDs for Kohima town and the offices of the outpost administrative officers respectively. The DEO, ERO and AEO Kohima will be imparting the training.

ADC Mangkolemba on house building: Additional deputy commissioner, Mangkolemba, Temsu Longkumer has directed all individuals/groups, who hold temporary site permit in Kampani Ward of Mangkolemba to construct house/building on their allotted site. ADC, in a circular issued on May 13 said a time period of three months would be given from the date of issue of this publication and informed that failure to comply with the circular will invite instant cancellation of such permits.
