Tribal Development Fund (TDF) project under National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD), to be implemented by Chakhesang women welfare society (CWWS), T. Chikri, Pfutsero, was inaugurated by Dr. U.S Saha, general manager, NABARD, on May 16 at Pfutsero.
Dr. Saha stressed on importance of the project as WADI project has been recognized worldwide and supported by government of India. This Wadi project which means ‘Orchard’ is the fourth project taken up by NABARD in the state of Nagaland.
Phek district being the most fertile land, Dr. U.S Saha expressed confidence that project would be of a successful one. He also requested VCCs, VDB members, pastors, CBCC staff to give full cooperation to Chakhesang women welfare society for smooth implementation of the project.
Bendang Aier, assistant general manager, NABARD highlighted on WADI project and its activities and challenged the implementing agency and beneficiaries to implement with full enthusiasm. This project would cover eight villages in Phek block and Chozuba block.
