Scientific methods of beekeeping
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) organized a basic course on scientific methods of beekeeping and skills up-gradation on May 16-17 at Enhulumi village under Phek district. During the training, the trainees requested the department for constant assistance and guidance in the days to come.
Subsequently, the Enhulumi Village Beekeeping Committee (EVBC) was formed headed by Kekhrowe Tsido, Kerelhi Lohe and Wekhate Elah as chairman, secretary and treasurer respectively.
Gorkha Nite: Gorkha Elders Forum Dimapur would be organising a Gorkha Nite at Niathu Resort 7th mile, Dimapur on May 21 from 4:30pm on the theme “Oneness among the Gorkhas”.
CTC directs land owners: Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) has directed land owners to start removing, dismantling structures etc., from the day of publication of this directive within May 31. CTC chief advisor Thepfulhoutuo Shuya in a press release stated that failing to adhere to the directives would be compel the council to dismantle the structures as per municipal provision law and act.
Renewal of CVC land patta: Chekiye village council (CVC) has informed all pattadars, land owners, residential plot, paddy field, terrace field plantation etc., under its jurisdiction to renew register provisional patta issued by the council before July 31. Applicants have been informed to submit two passport photos of pattadars along with measurement details certified by the respective village council members of the block and the previous provisional patta in original. CVC further said all previously issued provisional pattas would be treated as invalid/defunct as on August 1, 2011.
Non-local registration in Mon: Registration for non- locals residents in Mon would start from May 20 to 25, 10am-4pm at the office of Konyak students union. All non-locals residing within the district have been asked to report with a photo copy of valid ILP, PCR duly attested by the administration with three passport size photos.
Pre-Ph. D examination result: Provisional result of pre-Ph D examination in the department of economics conducted by Nagaland University has been declared. A total of six students appeared and all have been declared qualified.
NCRC Sumi youth meeting: Nagaland Christian Revival Church (Sumi) youth has convened a meeting on May 21, 10am at Dimapur NCRC (Sumi) church. All youth standing committee, youth president from various regions and youth advisors have been requested to attend the meeting.
SKK felicitation program: All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) would be organizing a felicitation programme for toppers and highest mark scorers of HSLC and HSSLC exam on May 25, 10am at concave conference hall near Ao church Kohima. K. T. Sukhalu, secretary food and civil supply, government of Nagaland will be the chief guest. DKSU executive meeting: Dimapur Kyong Students’ Union (DKSU) has convened an executive meeting along with its advisors on May 19, 11am at the union’s office.
LTF 18th general session: Liangmai Theological Fellowship (LTF) would be holding its 18th general session on May 21-22 at Tening. All theological graduates and students have been requested to attend the session.
VDB secretary association general meeting: VDB secretary association has convened general meeting on May 21, 10am at CPO hall Chumukedima. All VDB secretaries under Medziphema block have been requested to attend the meeting.
DIS Zunheboto informs: Deputy Inspector of School (DIS) Zunheboto has informed schools under the establishment of DIS Zunheboto to plant trees in their respective school compound to observe ‘World environment day’. Further, DIS has informed all head teacher, teacher I/C to collect saplings from June 1 onwards from DIS office. Meanwhile, a formal function on ‘World Environment Day’ would be held on June 4, 10am at GPS Nito Mount Zunheboto under the theme ‘Man and forest’.
DDADU inform auto drivers: President Dimapur District Auto rickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has informed all auto drivers to keep auto fare chart book, compulsorily and to tender the exact fare from passengers as per fare chart revised by RTA chairman and district administration on May 15. Further, auto drivers have been requested to comply with the order for the benefit of the passengers and added that defaulters would be penalized. Meanwhile, DDADU has requested the public to report to DDADU head office Elora line Dimapur should there be any complain regarding. Those interested may collected the auto fare chart book from its office during office hours, added president.
Training of AERO/BLO’S, supervisor: Photography Phase – I for Mon district would commence from June 1 to 26. DC Mon informed that detailed schedule constituency wise would be circulated within a short period. In this regard training for AERO/BLO/supervisor would be conducted on May 30, 11am at the conference hall of DC at 11am. All AEROs/BLOs/ supervisors of the nine assembly constituencies have been directed to attend the training programme.
BLO’s training at Phek: Training on booth level officers would be conducted at district level on May 20 and 21at DPDB Conference Hall, DC’s Office Phek at 11am for implementation of Electoral Photos Identity Cards (EPIC) and Photo Electoral Role (PER). All booth level officers in Phek district have been informed to attend the training without.
World Environment Day, PGSU (NUCK): The post graduate students’ union (PGSU) Nagaland university Meriema campus, Kohima would be organizing ‘World Environment Day’ on June 4 at 9 am at NU campus. The activities to be conducted are tree plantation, fencing of sapling and cleaning of the campus. The union has extended its invitation to all the teaching and non-teaching staff to be a part of the programme.
Health camp conducted: Mothers’ Hope an FNGO under NRHM project conducted combined health camp at Disagaphu and Razhaphe village under Chumukedima block on April 29 at Razhaphe village council hall. Altogether 103 patients were treated and provided free medicines. The project staff thanked Dr. Zaiwang and her staff for their service and the village council members of both villages for their cooperation and support.
Kohima DPDB lauded: All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) has appreciated the Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for organizing quiz, extempore speech, painting competition besides introducing a scheme for awarding the candidate for securing highest aggregate marks in the HSLC examination among the government schools under Kohima district. ANSTA also appreciated Kohima DPDB for their noble initiatives in taking up human resource development on priority basis with different innovative ideas and hoped that good gestures and healthy exercise of Kohima DPDB would go a long way to inspire and encourage the students of government schools.
Back topping at H. Khel Diphupar: Diphupar Village Council and VDB carried out black topping at H. Khel road, Diphupar which connects National Highway 29 to Agri Expo 4th mile. In this connection, H. Khel Welfare Forum secretary, Shiyito Achumi in a press statement said that the week long hard effort taken by council chairman Vitoshe and his colleagues for carrying out the work would be remembered by the residents. It further thanked Sentso VCM in-charge of H. Khel for rendering his time for the completion of the road.
