Wokha, Tsg, Longleng DPDB meet

In Wokha, DPDB meeting was held on May 9 at DC conference hall under the chairmanship of parliamentary secretary and chairman DPDB Wokha, W. Kithan, minister for agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry and deputy speaker NLA Ralanthung Yanthan also attended the meeting. Beautification of Tsumang Lake was deliberated by the board, where Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry apprised the board that, beautification and development of Tsumang Lake was the wish and interest of the citizens of the district.The board also resolved to request the Fishery Technical Association (FTA) to reconsider their step and withdraw the case with regard to Tsumang Lake.
As a step towards protection and conservation of Mt. Tiyi Forest, Dr. Chumben informed that Forest Protection Committee has been constituted comprising of village council chairman, VDB secretaries, G.B’s and Students Union Presidents of the adjourning Mt. Tiyi Forest areas.
The Board also discussed on the poor performance/results of HSLC in the district, where the chairman directed the district education officer, Wokha and DIO Wokha to explain the precise action plan for 2011-12. To find a way to improve the results in the district the board resolved to form a committee headed by District Horti Officer (DHO) to study and propose remedial measures in order to bring improvement. The board also resolved to ban the trend of transferring teachers along with post and transfer without replacement in the district.
TUENSANG: Tuensang DPDB meeting was held on May 11 under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Tuensang, Y. L. Jami IAS at DC’s Conference Hall Tuensang.
The house recommended the handing over of the proposed approach road from Kuthur to Hukir via Y. Annaer, Chessore, Shipoang to PWD (R & B).
The house also found that the proposal for recognition of Montessori Kids Care School Tuensang town was not supported by proper document and the house referred it back to DIS Tuensang to justify the proposal and submit it in the next meeting.
The house recommended the proposal for recognition of Class VIII in respect of Eklavya Model residential School, Tuensang and on the permission of opening new Lizi Residential School at Chare village.
Construction of bus garage in Sao Chang College campus was deferred to the next meeting due to the absence of Principal Sao Chang College.
The house also recommended the proposal for grand-in-aid for Christian High School Noklak town, up-gradation of Noklak Town adhoc committee to full fledge town council and for opening of sub-health centre at Kiutsukiur village under Shamator. The house further deliberated on the proposal for opening of tuition centre under education development project by Lang-chen Society and found that the proposal was not routed through proper channel and decided it must be examined by the education department, Tuensang. It further recommended the proposal for extension of one room for Government High School Chessore and opening of Tulip Residential Academy.
LONGLENG: Longleng DPDB meeting was held on May 6, at DC’s conference Hall, Longleng. The meeting was chaired by S.D.O (C) Longleng, Shayung Phom.
According to an official bulletin, posting of required teachers and other staff, construction of staff quarters at the newly upgraded High Schools in Pongo, Nemching, Yaongyimchen, Kagching and Yongyah village with DPDB recommendation were discussed at the meeting.
Some of the agendas discussed included, construction of rest camp at Chonglok (Bhamnyu Village) to which the board agreed to take up proposal to construct rest camp under LADP common poll 2011-12. Land encroachment at agri and horticulture department, drainage Blockage at Longleng town, posting of district fishery officer was discussed in the house and recommended to the concerned high authority for smooth functioning of work/scheme in the district.
