NPF has stated that recent statement of Congress party to wash off their hand from the joint legislature forum (JLF) in the event of self manufactured eventualities was nothing but clear “blackmail at work”.
“In order to conceal shallowness on Naga political issue, the Congress party was trying to square off Imchen by harping unethical remarks which have belittled Congress party to a great extent”, stated the NPF statement.
The statement also mentioned that Imchen has not contradicted the stand of ruling dispensation on issue of public importance and desperate attempt of Congress party to term Imchen’s statements as crazy was too unbecoming and childish for a mature political party.
“Imchen’s approach was not ordinary and Congress party cannot hold him to ransom to cover up in-sincerity and vagueness towards the Naga political issue”, added the statement.
NPF also said the move of the Congress party with regard to JLF, underscored their agenda to derail the peace process and to pollute the law and order situation and that the Congress party should ground their utterances on factual reality and not threaten the people.

Merry, vice president, NPF central office I/C Dimapur, Rokonicha, ex-candidate from 5 – Ghaspani – II A/C, Savi Legise, ex-candidate from 2 – Dimapur –II A/C.
