Closing ceremony for “Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program on BPO” was held on Friday at Circuit House, Dimapur. The training was held from March 31 to May 16, where 30 youths participated.
The chief guest for the function was K. Ahmed, Director IIE. Having a close association with Nagaland for the past 30 years, Ahmed said it gave him immense pleasure to see youths coming back from outside after their studies and after having gained work experience, watch them do something for the states. This, he said was a good sign for Nagaland.
He also said that over the years, the scope of things has drastically developed in Nagaland. However, he lamented that only a negative image of this state is being projected to the rest of the country. He also felt that Naga people, who are talented and hardworking, have to shed their laidback attitude and compete with other Northeastrm states and the rest of the country.
He urged the people to take this latent talent forward and contribute for the progress and development of the state. Further he informed that a full fledged branch of IIE will soon be opened in Dimapur, and added that this move will be more effective in delivering services to the people.
The training was sponsored by Union Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise and conducted by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Lalmati, Guwahati in association with Alaphra Group, Nagaland. Resource persons for the training were Ricky Ozukum (Director Alaphra Group), Imlienla (lecturer at ICFAI), Wapangla Imchen (HR personnel), and Wapongmeren Longkumer (Director of Soya Solutions). Training was given in different aspects like BPO, voice and accent, personality development, computer etc.
Towards the end of the programme, Ricky Ozukum, Director of Alaphra Group also distributed certificates from IIE, Guwahati to the trainees. He also presented monetary incentive to three star trainees for perfect attendance during the training.
