Tsungki Students’ Union (TSU) on Saturday organized a felicitation programme for recently elected general secretary of NSF, Ejanthung Ngullie at its office-cum-library building Tsungiki.
Ejanthung who hails from Tsungiki village in his speech expressed ardent desire to serve the village. He talked about his aspiration to bring the village, range, tribe and Nagas to the forefront be it in the field of education, economic, political and social development. Towards achieving this aspiration, Ejanthung solicited the unstinted support, cooperation, encouragement and prayer of the members of the village. “Together let us make our village a model village, a village of self-sufficiency,” he called upon the gathering. The NSF general secretary was felicitated by Tsungiki Village Council, Tsungiki Eloe Hoho, Tsungiki Baptist Church, Tsungiki Nzontsu Ekhung etc. Presidents of Kyong Students’ Union and Chukitong Range students’ Union also delivered greetings.
The felicitation programme was chaired by M. Vungthunglo Ngullie, invocation pronounced by TBC youth director Mhonbeni Kikon and welcome address delivered by TSU vice president Senjamo Ngullie. Dedicatory prayer by said TBC Pastor Rev R. Lotha and benediction pronounced by TBC women leader, N. Emilo. Several well wishers delivered short speeches.
