DRFCB inform dhobis: Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) has informed all laundrymen (dhobi walas) within Dimapur district to submit their names and addresses of their laundries before May 31 at the office of DRFCB, marketing complex, Purana Bazar East Dimapur.
Church workers fellowship: Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur Area Pastors’ Fellowship would be organizing a full time Church workers fellowship on May 24, 9am at Chakhesang Baptist Church, Diphupar. All Chakhesang full time Church workers working in different fields under Dimapur district have been requested to attend the fellowship program.
DAAU general meeting: Dimapur Aghünato Area Union (DAAU) has convened a general meeting on May 28, 1pm at Circuit House, Walford Dimapur. All members from Nihoshe (south) to Khumishi villages have been requested to attend the meeting and further informed that no personal calling letter or intimation would be served for the meeting.
Election of PCC member from 3 Dimapur III A/C: Election to the post of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) member from 3 Dimapur III A/C has been scheduled on May 25 at office of 3 Dimapur III A/C, Hollohon Colony, Dimapur. The schedule for the day would be from 8am to 9am - issue of nomination paper, 9am to 10am - submission of nomination paper, 10am to 11am - scrutiny of nomination paper, 11am to 12 - noon withdrawal of nomination paper, 12noon to 1pm voting/polling/election hour and 1pm declaration of result. Vinisienuo, assistant returning officer 3 Dimapur III A/C has requested all delegates under 3 Dimapur III A/C to participate accordingly.
Emergency consultative meeting: Tening Area Students’ Union has convened an emergency consultative meeting on May 28, 10am at Tening village council hall. All student unit representatives and leaders under Tening area i.e. Nbaulwa, Kebai, Nsong and Tening areas have been requested to attend the meeting.
Past students’ meet: Past students meeting of Government High School Aitepyong, Wokha district has been convened on May 28, 3pm at Lotha Hoho Ki, Dimapur.
Traffic committee meeting: Third meeting of traffic committee, DPDB Kohima has been convened on May 27,11 am in the office chamber of the deputy commissioner Kohima Beiu Angami. ADC (Planning) and member secretary DPDB, Ketoho Luho has requested ADC Kohima, SP Kohima, RTO Kohima, DPRO Kohima, President APO and President KCC to attend the meeting.
KEE Delhi admission committee: Admission committee for assisting candidates seeking admission in Delhi University has been set up. Inauguration of Khadi Showroom’ at ERIL office: ‘Khadi Showroom’ at ERIL office premises would be inaugurated on May 24 by parliamentary secretary, industries & commerce Dr. K.C. Nihoshe, and MLA Dr. Nicky Kire. The programme would be followed by handing over of ambulance donation to Nagaland Red Cross Society by chairman managing director, Biplab Kumar Dey with Menukhol John, Commissioner & Secretary, Health & Family Welfare. The programme would be followed by a press meet which will be attended by Chairman Managing Director, Biplab Kumar Dey. Everlight Realcon Infrastructure Limited (ERIL) Company started its journey in Nagaland on May 24, 2010 based at ‘Midland 251, NH-39 opposite World War II Cemetery Kohima.
TVCH inaugural function: Thizama (Chüziema) Village council (TVC) hall would be inaugurated on May 27 at 10am with chief minister Neiphiu Rio as chief guest.
NLAS Kohima meeting: The Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat Kohima has convened its first meeting of the following committees i.e. Committee on government assurances 2011-12 on May 25 at 12:30 pm at assembly committee room, assembly library committee on May 30 at 11am at assembly committee hall and the committee on subordinate legislation on June 2 at 11 am at the committee room of NLA.
DSSU 36th general conference: 36th general conference of Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) will be held on June 24 and 25 at Town Hall, Dimapur. Azheto Zhimomi, MLA advisor cooperation and sericulture and Nikhashe Sema, CEO DMC Dimapur would be the chief guest and guest of honour respectively. The union informed that annual membership fee of `5 for Class-A to X and `10 for Class-XI and above would be collected. All institutions have been requested to send two Sumi students representatives to represent their institution to the union for the welfare and to uplift the society.
Thanks giving-cum-felicitation program: Thanks giving-cum-felicitation program would be organized on May 25 at 3:30p.m at Ura Academy Badi, Mission Road, Kohima. The programme has been organized to express gratitude to the International Association of Educators for World Peace who conferred the life time achievement award to minister for minister of urban development & higher and technical education Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu. The celebration will be followed by inaugural session of the 41st three-day annual Tenyidie seminar at 5 p.m.
Training on ARSH: Nagaland State AIDS Control Society in collaboration with Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) and Nagaland College of Teachers Education (NCTE) would be organizing three days training of trainers (ToT) on adolescent education programme (AEP) from May 25 at NCTE, Kohima. The main objective of the program is to enhance knowledge level of adolescents to facilitate informed decisions with regard to adolescent reproductive and sexual health (ARSH) and to strengthen life-skills for translation of knowledge into responsible actions, enabling young people to protect themselves from and to cope with risky situations they encounter in their lives. The 40 master trainers will in train 800 teachers in their respective districts/area.
NPF Peren division extend invitation: President NPF Peren division, Dennis Elunglung has extended welcome to all persons and group willing to join the NPF party in the division. Further the unit office bearers have been directed to accept newcomers with all respect and forward the same to the respective A/Cs, while on the other hand, the A/Cs have been asked to forward the same to the division office for final approval. The president also appealed the 6th Tenning A/Cs and 7 Peren A/Cs to go for a primary member drive and award active membership to deserving leaders and party workers. Action taken in this regard may be intimates to the division office at the earliest, stated Dennis.
Opium seized at Chumu check gate: State police narcotic cell P.S. Kohima, during routing checking, seized approx. 1kg of opium worth approx. `30 lahks from the possession of Maya Chetri w/o Bhim Chetri, Vill/PO/Ps: Siliguri, Dist.: Siliguri, PA: Siliguri at Chumukedima check gate on May 22. She was traveling on bus (No.MNO3-W-0534) from Imphal to Dimapur bound taxi. She was later arrested and forwarded to judicial custody for further investigation.
ZVFEP clarifies: Zeliangrong volunteers for forest and environment protection (ZVFEP)has rectified its statement which was recently published in local dailies. ZVFEP in a press note clarified that meaning of the term “landless encroachers” should be understood as encroachers, invaders or intruders and not as ‘landless’ since the encroachers have their own land in their respective districts.
