The small scale industry entrepreneurs union (SSIEU), Wokha in a reply to the statement issued by chief engineer power department on May 22 said if the hydro power stations located in the north-east were generating less power resulting in load shedding throughout the state, then a district wise time frame on the present power supply should be made perceptible through media by the department. SSIEU also expressed resentment on the poor power supply at Wokha district where out of eight working hours, Wokha district receives only two-three working hours of power supply.
SSIEU president Rhukumo Kikon and general secretary Z. Hayibemo Ezung in a release issued here asked if poor electricity supply could be termed as load shedding or blackout in the district. The union further appealed the state government to supply power equally to consumers throughout the state irrespective of its location and area.
