We, the Yimjenkimong Village NPF Unit, strongly support the representation which was submitted to the chief minister under the leadership of president and general secretary of Alongtaki A/C for removal of Er. Saku from parliamentary secretary, and to the article written by Yajang “A” NPF unit which appeared in local dailies in regards to selling of people’s rights to Er.Saku by five Executive Members.
It is to be noted that our village NPF unit did not attend the so-called NPF General Meeting held on 17th May as we were informed about the cancellation of the said meeting through the office of the NPF Alongtaki A/C as we had to uphold the directive of the established office. Therefore, the so-called resolution which was adopted on the 17th May meeting should be null and void, and those members who did attend should be punished by the appropriate, concerned authorities.
Furthermore, we regret and denounce the shameful action of one of our own village citizens, I. Alem (Imnalemba), who sold out his allegiance to Er. Saku for Rs. 1 lakh. It is important that we carefully watch the activities of such leaders even in the future. Henceforth, Mr. I. Alem should not be allowed to continue as an NPF leader using our village unit and even if he is selected, our village unit shall not follow his leadership.
Most importantly, we strongly condemn the statements of the NPF Longchem Meeting that appeared in Nagaland Post, Vol XX1 NO. 164, May 20, 2011, page 2, in which they questioned the activities of Mr. P. Chuba Ozukum (General Secretary, Naga Hoho). According to the constitution of India, every person, including a “social worker”, is given his/her voting right. Understanding this right, those who are involved in politics for the betterment of society should be appreciated by one and all. If the remunerated supporters of Er. Saku are not willing to admit this right, they should bring out the parameters under which a social worker can operate his/her activities. To those who are trying to spoil the image of our village member, Mr. P. Chuba Ozukum, through dishonest and unethical statements, we shall repulse against such tricks now and forever.
Limaakum Tzudir, president, Limawati Ozukum, secretary, NPF, Yimjenkimong.
