With its organic vegetable produce spanning over 20 years, Razeba, Sub-Marketing Committee (RSMC) has informed that marketing for cabbage and potatoes would start from last week of May. RSMC chairman, Sanyi Dukru has requested for fair toll tax at various check gates while transporting the produce from Razeba Area to other places in Nagaland.
He said that the main cultivation of the four villages of Razeba including Zhavame, Zelome, Tsufume has been cabbage and potatoes among other vegetables for the past many years, and in this regard, sought for the cooperation of KMC and DMC to help the farmers by taking their consent into consideration while fixing the rates.
The committee also stated that it would go a long way in encouraging the farmers in cultivating it on a larger scale while emphasizing on the importance of consuming organic vegetables.
He further informed that the organic vegetables would be available in Kohima at Eden Garden, opposite T.T Stadium in Officers’ Hill by the end of May till December.
