‘World No Tobacco Day’ at Kma
Dimapur: Directorate of health and family welfare, Kohima would be organizing ‘World No Tobacco Day’ cum seminar on WHO, FCTC & Smoke Free Rules’ on May 31 at 9am at H&FW conference hall. Kuzholuzo Nienu, minister H&FW, would be the chief guest.
KVDA free medical camp on June 4
Dimapur: Kohima Village Doctors Association (KVDA) would be organizing a get-together cum free multi specialty health camp on June 4, 9am at Kohima Village PHC. During the medical camp, surgery, orthopedics, Medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, radiology, pathology, microbiology, dental, psychiatry and pediatrics would be available for consultation. Free medicine, free blood test, free-check up, free ultrasound and free minor operation would be the highlights of the camp.
Water supply scheme at Zubza village
DIMAPUR: 20 Assam Rifles under aegis of 5 Sect under IGAR (N) constructed and inaugurated a water supply scheme at Kheru Nala, Zubza village. According to the villagers, the water supply system would be of immense use to the villagers particularly during summer season. Sacha, the GB and other village authority expressed gratitude on behalf of all the villagers to the commandant and Assam Rifles for taking on this project for the village
150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore
DIMAPUR: Inaugural function of a two-day ‘Festival of Arts’, a programme to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore would be held at NEZCC premises on May 27, 10.30am in collaboration with the United Tribal Society, Dimapur. Governor Nikhil Kumar, would be the chief guest in the inaugural function.
NNC meeting
DIMAPUR: NNC meeting has been convened on June 3, 10am at Lotha Region to discuss matters related to the prevailing situation and to resolve for the best interest of NNC and the people. The NNC also decided to take a step further for the Naga National interest and permanent peace in the “homeland”. A press release issued by NNC working president, Gen. Retd I.Panger Walling said the central executive council would take the best step in furtherance of National cause and the NNC president related issues. all CEC members, senior leaders, NNC members, women federation NNC, Naga Army, invitees have been informed to attend the meeting.
PSUD executive meeting: Pochury Students’ Union Dimapur (PSUD) has convened an executive meeting on May 28, 1pm at the residence of U/A speaker.
Second training of BLO’s: The second training of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Kohima town and near by villages would be conducted on May 27, 11a.m at DC’s Conference Hall Kohima. Materials and monitoring registers, cameras with chips etc., shall be issued.Similar training and materials would be issued for all BLOs of 12-Tseminyu A/C in the office of the ADC Tseminyu on May 30,11 a.m. All BLOs have been directed to attend the trainings respectively. ADC & Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima, Alun Hansing in a press release informed that negligence by any officials would attract action.
Forum for special people: Forum for special people would be organising workshop for parents of children with disabilities on May 28, 9am at Longkumer’s Kilem, Mokokchung. The forum was created under the guidance of Care and Support Society Mokokchung.
Rengma theological conference: The 29th Rengma theological conference (RTC) would be held on May 27-29 at Kashanyu Baptist Church Tseminyu on the theme “Servitute”. All Rengmas who are theologically trained have been requested to attend the conference.
NBA meeting: Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) has convened a general body meeting on May 27, 11am at Dimapur Bar Association Building, DC Court premises.
Tuensang DPDB meeting: Meeting of Tuensang district planning developmental board (DPDB) has been convened on June 6, 11am in the conference hall of deputy commissioner, Tuensang. All DPDB members, HoDs have been informed to attend the meeting.
CTC notifies: Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) has notified all vendors, land owners and unions to desist from engaging in petty trade like selling vegetables, fish, chana, pakora etc., within CTC reserved land along the stretch of national highway and to stop collection of illegal taxes by landowners and unions. CTC chief advisor Thepfulhoutuo Shuya has reminded that violators would be strictly dealt with as per provision of the law.
KLRSU to inspect govt. departments: Kyong Lower Range Students’ union (KLRSU) in its May 6 meeting decided to conduct checking at government departments under Bhandari jurisdiction. All head of department and government employees have been requested to be in station latest by first week of June. KLRSU further informed it would take its course of action on those who violate the notification.
BJP Tuensang: Bartiya Janata Party of Tuensang district has convened a party meeting on May 31at the residence of its treasurer at 10am. According to general secretary BJP Tuensang district K. Jessie Akheam, the meeting would discuss matters related to the district office and assignments. All district office bearers, Mahila, Youth wing and mandal office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. Meanwhile, BJP Tuensang district informed that Shokiumong head GB of Meleankiur village has unanimously resigned from the NPF party and joined the BJP party.
Poumai BYF: The Poumai Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF) Kohima would be selling newspaper on May 28 in aid of youth camp. All members have been requested to report at new NST Kohima at 5am.
SAKK felicitation programme: Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) would be organizing a felicitation programme for Aphuyemi toppers of HSLC & HSSLC 2011 and also an installation service for the planning board and various committee members of golden jubilee 2013 on May 30 at 3pm at Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Church Kohima.
KBC graduation: Kohima Bible College (KBC), Kohima would conduct graduation programme on May 31 at 2 pm at the college chapel hall. Rev. Moa Longchari would address the graduating students.
Community hall inauguration: Rio community hall Chiechama would be inaugurated on May 27 at 10am at Chiecha Basa. T.R. Zeliang minister of planning & co-ordination, V&AH Nagaland would be the chief guest.
ANTA meeting: All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has convened general meeting on May 30, 8am at L.C.S. conference hall, near Ao church Kohima.
CCSUK meeting: Chang College Students’ Union Kohima (CCSUK) has convened an emergency meeting on May 28, 10 am at the treasurer’s residence. All executives and representative from colleges have been informed to attend the meeting.
Fishery project inauguration: The inauguration of La-ang Riverine fishery project at Pansgha Village Noklak sub-division, Tuesang would be inaugurated on May 27 at 9am by S. Heno Parliamentary secretary fisheries, printing and stationeries, relief and rehabilitation as the chief guest.
BJP, Nagaland combined meeting: Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Nagaland has convened a combinde meeting of state office bearers, state frontal heads, president’s Yuva, mahila cells convener BJP and state unit on May 28, 10am at the party office, Dimapur. All frontal heads, president and cell convener have been requested to attend the meeting.
DPDB, Peren meeting: District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Peren has convened a meeting on May 30, 11am at DC office complex, new district headquarter, new Peren. A felicitation programme for HSLC Toppers 2011 of Peren district would be initiated by DPDB chairman on the same day. All DPDB members of Peren district are requested to attend the meeting.
TTVC general meeting held: The general meeting of Toulazou Tenyimi Village Council (TTVC) was held at Toulazou primary school on May24, 7am. In a press release issued by Keweko head GB, Louni Mona vice chairman and John V. Nuh secretary said Lhousezo Sokhrie was elected as chairman Toulazou Tenyimi Village Council for the tenure 2011 – 2014.
SUPCC inform students: Students’ Union Public College of Commerce (SUPCC) has informed all its students that the SUPCC election would be held on May 27, 10am at B. Com.II year hall. All students have been requested to attend the election.
CWS fellowship: Chishilimi Welfare Society (CWS) has convened a fellowship on May 28, 9am at Sumi Baptist Church Chumukedima.
ZDVDBA informs: Zunheboto District VDB Association (ZVDBA) has informed that the president of All Nagaland VDB Association and his team would be visiting Zunheboto District. A meeting have been convened on June 2, 10am and the office bearers, executive members and VDB secretaries of Zunheboto District have been requested to attend.
DCC Dimapur emergency meeting: District Congress Committee (DCC) Dimapur has convened an emergency meeting on May 28, 1pm at DCC office Dimapur. All DCC office bearers, ACCC president and frontal chief have been requested to attend the meeting.
DTE emergency general meeting: Dimapur Tsungiki Ekhung (DTE) has convened an emergency meeting on May 28, 8:30am at Ranandphen Ki, court junction. All members have been requested to attend the meeting with DTE membership fee of Rs.200 for the year 2011.
DALK general meeting: General meeting of Dimapur Aoli Longchar Kidong Telongjem (Union) has been convened on May 28, 8 am at the residence of DALKT treasurer Rongsensashi Longchar at Duncan Bosti (Carewell School). Officer bearers and elders from the head office of Aoli Longchar Kidong, Mokokchung will be attending the meeting. Union has also requested Longchars from all villages to attend the meeting.
ADC Chiephobozou informs: Additional deputy commissioner, Chiephobozou, Martha R Ritse has informed all patta/land allotment holders of Chiephobozou to submit a xerox copy of their patta to the office of the ADC between May 27 to June 3 for verification. Failure to do so within the stipulated time will be treated as cancelled, added ADC.
