EAC Chumukedima B. Henok Buchem reiterating the May 16 meeting at Diphupar B village stated that GBs headed by Hd GB, leaders of all communities, leaders of women and youth organisations and DBs resolved to work in unity and co-operations on all issues for larger interest and welfare of the general public of the village.
EAC Chumukedima stated this in connection with the ongoing impasse between the leaders of Diphupar B village which erupted over election of new village council members.
According to the EAC, the meeting was held at the residence of Hd GB, Diphupar B village and all those who were present including GBs headed by head GB, leaders of all communities, leaders of women and youth organisations and DBs resolved to extend full cooperation for the timely completion of the audit after which the council election would be conducted.
The house agreed that all outstanding issues against various community(s) or individual(s) on or after the April 8 would stand resolved in the spirit of forgive and forget and therefore no community(s) or individual (s) would take any step against any community(s) or individual(s) which may vitiate the peace and harmony in the village.
The meeting also decided to refrain from any activity including press release, explanation calls, non co-operations, ex-communications, show cause notices etc which may create law and order problems.
The EAC further added that failure to adhere to the resolutions of the meeting by any community(s), individual(s) or the village functionaries would be dealt with appropriately as per the provisions of the law and the order would come into force with immediate effect till further order was issued.
