Plantation drive at KPA complex

Tree plantation drive was held at Khelhoshe polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) complex on the theme ‘Go Green’ on May 24 organized by KPA institute Atoizu.
Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, T. Kiheto Sema while delivering a short speech lauded the present Principal Vipulhou Lhoungu for taking the initiative to bring up the standard of the institute, which is a property of the state.
He called for people’s cooperation and further said that the rules of the institution was framed by the Government of Nagaland and applied by the principal therefore the students as well as the general public should take note of it. Kiheto while exhorting the students said that at present Zunheboto, was one of the most peaceful districts and further encouraged the students to aim high and to learn to compete with others and to earn their livelihood through self employment.
With regard to tree plantation, the DC said that one should have a civic sense and protect the trees that were planted. He also visited the rest house constructed by tourism department. Earlier, Principal KPA, Vipulhou Lhoungu welcomed the gathering and assured the people that the college would compete with any other institutions in future. He also thanked the Assistant Conservator of Forest, Hukato Sumi for providing various species of trees for plantation. Government officials, Village Councils, Head GB’s, students and the public attended the programme.
