Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under PMEGP scheme 2011 was inaugurated on May 24 at EBRC conference hall, Longleng, with M Senthy Jamir, KVIC, KVIB, PMEGP, in-charge Longleng as the chief guest. The programme was sponsored by Khadi and Village Industry Commission, Dimapur and conducted by Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, state office Dimapur. Altogether thirty five sanctioned candidates from different places of Longleng district joined the programme.
The EDP is a two weeks duration starting from May 24, covering various topics of great importance for participants like entrepreneur’s challenges ahead, entrepreneurial competencies, achievement motivation and attitude building, developing confidence, establishment of an enterprise, managing the scarce finance, marketing of products, statutory laws, rules and regulations of government to be followed and expansion, growth and sustainability etc.
Senthy Jamir highlighted the importance of programme and the expectation from the participants.
He also explained on the financial part of different activities, fixed capital and working capital of the project.
Further, Pranjal Kumar Das, programme implementation officer, IIE, state office Dimapur briefly explained on entrepreneurship education.
