Workshop on disabilities in Mkg: A one-day workshop on disabilities organized by the Forum for Special People, Care and Support Society, Mokokchung would be held on May 28, 9am at Longkumer Kilem, Sangtemla ward, Mokokchung. Resource persons include DWO Mokokchung, T. Imkong Longkumer, Pastor MTBA, Rev. Ponen and Thomas from Guardian Angel Dimapur.
DC Wokha inform business establishments: In view of the proposed protest rally to be held on May 27, jointly organized by the Kyong Hoho, Kyong Eloe Hoho and Kyong Stutents’ Union against the attempted rape of a minor girl at Wokha Town on May 23, deputy commissioner, Wokha has directed all business establishments to remain closed from 9am till the rally gets over.
NBCC meeting: NBCC in view of its 75 years celebration in 2012, has convened a meeting on June 10, 2pm at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner, Kohima. DC Kohima has requested all colony Panchayat chairmen and GBs under Kohima town to attend the meeting and sector magistrates to inform their respective ward chairman and GBs of the meeting.
KYS Social work: Kirhazoumia Khel and Pavomia khel, Viswema would be organizing a mass social work on May 28 at Yoba Dzüle (Viswema). All bonafide members have been requested to turn up for the social work.
KVYO meet: Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) has organized an inter-colony meet with all its youth members living in Kohima on June 5, 11 am at Yakuke, Navodaya. The meeting is being initiated to share ideas on beautifying Kohima and creating peaceful atmosphere, and also uniting all Kohima village youth members living in different parts of Kohima town. Nagabazar panchayat new members: The Nagabazar Panchayat Kohima elected a new team of office bearers for the year 2011-14. The new team would be led by Thezielhoulie Sorhie as chairman, Khrielezo Bio as vice chairman, Vilasielie Kobou Solo as general secretary, Babu Golmei as secretary finance and Chophathung Kikon as treasurer. The nominated names by the search committee were approved by the general body on May 19 during its general meeting.
Seminar on public awareness: A seminar on public awareness would be held on May 28 at GHSS auditorium Tuensang, organized by Chang Students Union, Sao Chang Govt College Tuensang, in collaboration with COC Tuensang. I. Mongba programme coordinator ECS, Joseph Zeliang UBSI 2nd OC Police station Tuensang and H. Sangkap Pastor, TTBC would talk on right to information, traffic rules and regulation and civic sense at the seminar.
DC Tsg inform administrative officers: For successful implementation of EPIC and Photo Electoral Roll in Tuensang district, deputy commissioner and district election officer Tuensang has requested all administrative officers under Tuensang district to attend the scheduled June 6 DPDB meeting in person.
LTF 18th annual session concludes: The 18th annual session of the Liangmai Theological Fellowship (LTF) concluded with Tunchapbo and Dr. Solomon Newmai as speakers. The fellowship resolved to conduct the 19th annual session from May 21 to 23, 2012 and to tour LBA churches right after the session.
WSKH emergency meet: An emergency meeting of Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) has been convened on May 28, 10am at the Hoho office. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
KSK fellowship service: Kohima Shaki Khumshum (KSK) has convened a half yearly fellowship service on May 28, 11am at the residence of E.R. Lotha, near Lotha Baptist Church, Kohima. All KSK members/citizens residing in and around Kohima have been requested to attend the fellowship service.
LSU emergency meeting: Litsami Students’ Union (LSU) has convened an emergency meeting on May 28, 1pm at the residence of sub banker, Chekiye Dimapur. All ex-officials, advisors and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting.
ATKD emergency meeting: Asuto Tokukujo Kuqhakulu Dimapur (ATKD) has convened an emergency meeting on May 27, 4pm at the residence of Hekishe Yeptho (retd.) executive engineer Thilixu village block-III, Island home. All office bearers, executives, legal advisors, elders and village unit presidents have been requested to attend the meeting.
DGU 14th foundation day: Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) would be celebrating its 14th foundation day on May 29, 1pm at town hall Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
KSU informs HSLC/HSSLC students : Kitami Students’ Union (KSU) has invited all successful students of HSLC/HSSLC result to submit duplicate mark-sheet to union before May 29. For further details one may contact finance secretary 9615132350 (Kohima) and vice-president 8974632744 (Dimapur).
NNP+ rejoinder to ‘Healing festival at Diphu town’: In response to the news article ‘Healing festival at Diphu town’ on May 26, NNP+ has condemned the news related to healing of HIV patient through the power of God. The network stated that till date “it is not scientifically proof that HIV can be cured” adding such a message which “creates misconception in a religious gathering” was not expected from a religious leader. NNP+ general secretary, Lanu Aier, expressed that it would be highly obliged if the teaching of Bible was delivered in a proper way in promoting responsible behavior.

Medical camp at Satoi town: Indian Red Cross Society State Brach Kohima and district branch Zunheboto would be organizing a free medical camp at Satoi town on May 31. All the surrounding villagers have been informed to avail the service.
KMC extends trade license renewal: Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has extended renewal of trade license within the Municipal area up to May 31 without fine. KMC notified all shops/business establishment/private schools/clinics/pharmacies/cable operators/private financial establishment/private institutions/private tele company, like Aircel, Airtel, Reliance, Vodafone, Tata Indicom, Idea to comply with this notice. KMC also added that stern action would be taken against defaulters.
UCC general meeting: United Colony Council (UCC) has convened a general meeting on May 28, 9am at the residence of its treasurer. All business establishments under its jurisdiction have been informed to remain closed during the meeting hour. Further the council has requested all to attend the meeting.
ZSU informs: Zhavame Students’ Union (ZSU) has informed that the venue of secluded seminar on career guidance on May 28, 9: 30 am has been changed to Hotel Japfü. All students are requested to take note of the change and attend the seminar.
Bus service for Tagore celebration: United Tribal Society, organizers of the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore has informed that a bus service has been arranged for the Festival of Arts 2011 at NEZCC Dimapur. The bus would leave City Tower Junction at 8am on May 27 - 28, and return at 5:30pm. All interested persons have been requested to avail the services.
SRSU presidential meeting: Satoi Range Students’ Union (SRSU) has convened its first presidential meeting on June 4 at the residence of Hoshika Awomi, Burma Camp Dimapur. All constituent units’ presidents and executive council members of the SRSU have been informed to attend the meeting.
PWO, Kohima general conference: Pochury Women Organization (PWO), Kohima has convened its 7th general conference on May28, 10:30 am at conclave, LCS building, Midland, near Ao Baptist Church, Kohima. Küsa Fithu, under secretary, Horticulture department, Government of Nagaland, would be the guest of honor. All Pochury citizens of Kohima have been requested to attend the conference.
