The NPF has expressed delight on the decision made by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to organize a nation-wide photography campaign in two phases with effect from June 1 to 27. The NPF in a release issued through its press bureau said it was pleased to learn that the massive exercise will be carried out in the state under the leadership of J. Alam, Chief Electoral officer where all eligible electors are to be photographed. The NPF party observed that the E.P.I.C. campaign would insure the implementation of the norms and guidelines of the Election Commission and fulfill the fundamental objective of the Indian Constitution in letter and in spirit. This photography campaign, says NPF is a welcome step in the right direction where violation of the ECI guidelines will be prevented. It further added the proper implementation of E.P.I.C. shall make the electoral process transparent and enhance the vibrancy of democracy in India.
