NPCC’s recent “fallacy” remark about NPF’s purported claim that Nagaland was one of the most peaceful states in the entire country received a sharp response from the NPF press & media bureau Saturday which described the remark as “an ill-conceived conspiracy, delivered to paint the law and order situation in the state- black and red.”
The press & media bureau, in a statement, said NPF surmised the NPCC statement as a narrative, infested with ulterior motive, depicting their sheer frustration.
“Moreover, the erratic utterance of NPCC people implies their intention to revisit their old game of deceit,” the NPF media bureau said, and pointed out that recent casualty report highlighted by NPCC was a “well calculated formula” to portray a one-sided picture so to “hypnotize” the people and extract electoral mileage.
“No doubt, people in the NPCC appear to be suffering from selective amnesia as the figures reflected by the NPCC is microscopic in comparison to the days when Congress was in power,” the NPF said.
Stating to maintain sanity in public discourse, the NPF press bureau also highlighted numbers of casualty during Congress regime from 1993 to 1997. (See table)
“For the kind information of media cell, article 350 of the constitution says, the usage of language in redressal of grievances to the authority which is non-contextual in their parables”, the NPF media bureau asserted.
On NPCC’s query to why DAN ministers, parliamentary secretaries, advisors and MLAs were still moving with heavy security escorts, the NPF bureau said agencies were discharging their responsibilities without any discrimination irrespective of political affiliation as far as security provided to VIPs and VVIPs was concerned.
Further, on NPCC’s assertion that ad hoc councils were illegally running, the NPF bureau said no courts have said that ad hoc councils were illegal.
The NPF press & media bureau also reminded NPCC media cell that party’s primary political agenda was Naga political issue.
Posing question on why NPCC “shiver” when Naga political issue was laid on the table,” the party bureau maintained: “As a matter of fact, the Naga political issue is the central plank of any election for the NPF, as it is a party where the high command is based with the people in the village.”
Alleging that NPCC was “notoriously famous” for their “so called” Delhi high command, the bureau said NPCC has to follow every diktat imposed upon them with “folded hands.”
It went on to assert that “self proclaim” political reincarnation of new Jamir was not only “utterly ridiculous” but cracking a cruel joke on the sentiments of the Naga people.
