Organic farming training at Molvom village

Two days training programme on biotechnology led organic farming in NE region on ginger and turmeric sponsored by DBT, New Delhi, was organized by KVK Dimapur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Medziphema, Nagaland Centre on April 25 and 26 at Molvom village. A total of 50 participants attended the training programme.
Dr. Anamika Sharma, programme coordinator KVK Dimapur, ICAR Nagaland centre was the resource person for the training programme, assisted by Imliakum Pongen, programme assistant (FM) and Pynshailang Mawthoh programme assistant (CA).
Theory on package and practices of organic cultivation of ginger and turmeric along with use of bio fertilizers and practical demonstration on soil sample collection, application of bio-fertilizers like Azospirillum and Phosphorus Solubilizing Bacteria (PSB) and Bio-fungicide like Tricoderma harzanium were the thrust area of the training programme.
