Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) reacting to the press statement issued by NSUI president Hitilo Tep on April 3 has reiterated that former NSF president Mutsikhoyo Yhobu still continue to hold the office and was not removed from the chair at the conference but completed a tenure and would be the tribunal of Federation by virtue of being one of the presidents.NSF said Hitilo’s statement published in a section of local dailies depicted “immaturity and ignorance of his leadership”, whose identity has never been known to the NSF which proved ignorance about provisions of NSF working system. NSF stated the tenure of Mutsikhoyo Yhobu and his team of official body had been successfully achieved with fruitful outcome, which has helped the Naga students in particular and Nagas as a whole. NSF also said if Hitilo wanted to have better knowledge about the working principle of NSF and help towards up-liftment of Naga youth, he was welcome to federation office. Meanwhile, K. Elu Ndang, former general secretary of Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) said whatever political reasons may be, NSF should not be dragged in for mere political gain. Supporting the statement of NSF president, Elu sad NSF had a valid reason in protecting the interest of the students’ community and NSGEWA need not necessarily support any political groups but rather think of its own welfare. He also stated that declaration if NSGEWA to support a Congress candidate was unbecoming of an association.
