The NNC has responded to the news item issued by Perry Hau on May 4 regarding collection of money by some NNC members from government departments and business agencies in around Dimapur using the names of V. Nagi and Dr. Senka. The NNC expressed it had made a loyal agreement with the Naga political reconciliation groups on February 14 last that no one from the group would collect any taxation, donation etc., until the group makes an agreement for functioning in collection of taxes, as has been maintaining the agreement till date without collecting any tax. NNC in a release issued through MIP, questioned Perry Hau whether he will be answerable to the NNC members in person as to who are involved in collecting money along with vice president, Kiumukam, including the point in time, departments and business premises, adding Perry would face consequences if he failed to answer.
Replying on Kiumukam that the vice president and his associates have left NNC’s designated camp, NNC however said it has not yet established a designated camp till now. It alleged that the designated camp where Perry and team are taking refuge was the GPRN/ NSCN (K) designated camp and further cautioned him be confused about the “designated camp where Perry stays with V. Nagi”.
