Kiphire district Congress committee (KDCC) in its consultative meeting held on May 2 reviewed the recent declaration of HSLC under Kiphire district.
The meeting observed that GHS Pungro, Seyochung Kichang and Anatongre GHS reported ‘nil’ result in the HSLC result while the result at GHS Kiphire was relatively poor since nearly 60 teachers are attached to DIS office Kiphire and illegally attached to parliamentary secretary CAWD and chairman NSMDC. DCC president Thritsali Sangtam in a release stated that many leaders are in “proxy list” and have been neglecting their classes.
KDCC stated the department of school education has become “free style” under the elected members representing Kiphire, DIS as well as headmasters, due to which, results in the district has been poor. The house felt that unless attached teachers were detected, proxy teachers “thrashed out” and a strong administrative corrective measure was taken, the DAN government led by NPF would be held totally responsible for the failure in the education sector.
