DNSU meeting: Presidential council meeting of Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has been convened on May 11, 11am, at its union office. All constituent units have been informed to attend the meeting to deliberate on various agenda(s) pertaining to the welfare and activities of the union.
Computers sets donated to ITC, Tuensang: Five Computers were presented to Imlong Theological College (ITC), Tuensang (Nagaland) on April 6 by 164 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) Naga, as part of under Military Civic Action project under Operation Sadbhavana 2010-11. Officiating Commandant 1 Assam Rifles inaugurated the project initiated by 164 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) NAGA to fulfill the long outstanding dream of the students for computer literacy in the region. The handing over ceremony was attended by various officials of civil administration including students and teachers of Imlong Theological College, Tuensang.
N.I. Jamir academic excellence award for toppers: Students under Longleng district who secured top positions in HSLC and HSSLC examinations would be felicitated with N.I. Jamir Academic Excellence Award 2011 on the occasion of Phom Day on June 6 at Longleng district. Successful students are H. Yinglong Phom of Bhumnyu village for securing 7th position with distinction in Maths, Bio, Physic chemistry in HSSLC (science stream) 2011, L. Chuchong Noklang of Kangching village for securing top 28th position in HSLC exam 2011 and Manshing Mukho of Tamlu village for securing top 31st position in HSLC exam 2011.
Relief materials to storm effected families: A team of Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch visited the victims of the cyclonic storm at Khonoma village on May 3 in which 66 houses were destroyed. The team provided relief materials to the affected families. The team was led by Zakie Kire, general secretary, IRCSN and accompanied by Kholie Dolf, M.C Member IRCSN, Aja Zinyü, Project coordinator, ICRC and Nyimtseno Pienyü, UDA, IRCSN.
NEF new team of office bearers: All Nagaland railway contractor’s union (NEF) registered body, had its annual general meeting on May 1 elected its new member for the tenure 2011 to 2014 as follows. The new team of 10 members included Vihoshe as president I. Nungsang Jamir as vice president, Tovihoto H. Ayemi as treasurer, A. Andrew as secretary press & media, Botoho Swu as secretary W. Khape as joint secretary, Newoto as secretary information, K. Kinny, Kakheho Dennis and Debu Sharma as advisors. CASA general meeting: A general meeting of all executives and unit presidents of Chozuba Area Sports Association would be held on May 14 at 10am at Government Higher Secondary School hall, Chozuba town. All office bearers and unit presidents along with one representative have been asked to attend the meeting.
Suitability test for adhoc teachers: A suitability test for regularization of service for adhoc graduate teachers would be held on May 17 at 9am at the directorate of school education Kohima. The 40 adhoc graduate teachers who have completed five years of service as on 16-01-2004 and missed the suitability test conducted at ATI during July 2005 have been asked to be present. KBC youth board meeting: Kuki Baptist Church (KBC) will have a youth board meeting and exposure trip from May 11-13 at CBCNEI campus, Guwahati. Youth president Seiboi Tuboi has requested the youth board members to reach Kuki Baptist Church Dimapur on May 11 at 1pm.
Everlight Realcon organizing programs: Everlight Realcon Infrastructure Ltd. Limited Company, which started its journey in Nagaland on May 24, based at ‘Midland 251, NH-39. opp. World War II Cemetery Kohima will complete one year on May 24. In this connection, Everlight Realcon Infrastructure Ltd. Limited Company would organize a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ on May 23 at the office premises. The camp is supported by ‘Indian Red Cross Society’ Nagaland State branch. The Company will also visit Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH) located at Seithogei and give donations. On May 24, 10 am, the company would open a ‘Khadi Showroom’ at its office premises where all utility products from ‘Khadi’ would be available and later hand over the ambulance to Nagaland Red Cross Society.
Renewal of AKM survival card: All non-locals residing under Tuli and Tzudikong town have been informed that renewal of the AKM survival census card would be carried out on May 12 at Tuli town hall and May 13 at Tzudikong town hall from 9am to 4pm. All non-locals have been asked to get registered with proper documents.
