300 students visit Edufest day 1

For the first time in Dimapur and second time in Nagaland, the 9th Edufest by Lynchpin-India’s premier exhibition company kick-started on Tuesday at Christian Higher Secondary School, Church Road Dimapur.
The 9th Edufest - northeast India’s biggest career fair for students in Dimapur, would provide students the opportunity to meet with over 48 institutions from the country offering admissions in courses like Engineering, Management, Hotel and Tourism Management, Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, B.Com, BCA, MBA and other courses.
This fair is held annually for the entire North Eastern region catering to the demands of aspiring students from the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
With the HSSLC examination results out already, the 9th Edufest which is underway at Christian Higher Secondary School, Church Road Dimapur is the best opportunity for students to speak directly with institutions and decide about their future.
The students can directly interact with India’s most reputed universities and colleges, international pavilion, on the spot education loan approvals and expert career counseling and all these free of cost and without any agents or third party involvement.
Officials of colleges from Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, New Delhi, Orissa, West Bengal and institutions like Navodaya, Medical College, NITTE University, International Institute of Hotel Management School and others from all over India have set their stalls here.
The officials are offering a complete detail about the courses provided by them thus enabling the students to decide where they can study these courses which would mean an easier way to find jobs once they complete their courses.
On the first day of the 9th Edufest, more than 300 students and parents visited the stalls and grabbed the information they had been looking for.
When this reporter asked a student about his views of the ongoing fair, he said it would provide a great opportunity for students. He said his queries about his future course of study have been adequately explained by the officials of the institutions and that he is all set to pursue his dreams.
It may be mentioned that in the last 9 years, Edufest has established itself as the forum where students from the North-East India come to find out options about their future studies and this year, students from Dimapur have been fortunate to avail this opportunity.
In the last 9 years, over 2 lac students and parents have visited and met representatives from more than 425 institutes from India and abroad.
World renowned universities and institutions like Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok, University of Melbourne, Government of Thailand DEP, The British Council, Manipal University, have chosen Edufest as the platform to reach out to students of North East India.
