The dispute related to a dispute over a land near Lorukou area, which had been a bone of contention between Makhuma Khel of Phesama village and Jotsoma village some during 1985-86.The T Khel had made an appeal but it remained unresolved so far, said an official source. At the meeting held in the DC’s conference hall, it was decided that the T Khel shall be allowed to cross/enter Jotsoma reserve forest only after prior information to the Jotsoma village authorities. It was also decided that whenever any programme is organized by the T Khel Union, to survey the disputed area, the union shall abide by the rules and regulations of the village already in place with regard to the reserve forest area. The decision of the DC Kohima was unanimously agreed upon by all the above who attended the meeting.
