One yr of CTC adv comm: achievement highlighted

On the occasion of completion of one year in office, the advisory committee of the Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) Wednesday held a brief programme at its office premises whereby several activities undertaken till date were highlighted.
Some of the prominent activities completed included construction of water reservoir and water pump shed, construction of 10 garbage bins, improved /widening approach roads in all 11 wards with sand gravel, installation of parking and no parking sign boards, installation of welcome boards for beautification of town, repairing of town drains and installation of hume pipes, installation of sodium lights and tube lights, organizing inter-ward tournament etc. Besides, two public toilet each and latrines are under construction.
CTC chief advisor, T. Shuya who highlighted the activities of the town council attributed the achievement to the grace of Almighty and cooperation of the public, the GBs, various tribal organizations, administration and well wishers.
In terms of funding which made all the public importance activities successful, the CTC advisor thanked the chief minister Neiphiu Rio and urban development minister, Dr. Shurhozelie Leizetsu.
During the programme, the CTC also felicitated Heman Singhajit of St. Gabriel School Chumukedima for securing Top 29th position in the recently declared HSLC examination.
CTC administrator, Henok Buchem also spoke at the programme.
