Assets of IAS officers to go online

Union government has decided that immoveable property returns of all the IAS officers in the country would be put on the website of department of personnel and training (DoPT) with immediate effect. With regard to this, the state government has reminded the officers to submit their immovable property returns for the year 2010 (due in January 2011) to the P&AR department soon, and in any case not later than May 20, for further submission to the centre. A notification issued by state chief secretary Lalthara cautioned that failure to furnish could invite disciplinary action from the centre. The names of IAS officers include secretary school education Bendangkokba, YR & sports secretary Bendang Longchari, DC Tuensang Y.L.Jami, Anil Kumar (on deputation to GoI), ACS & dev.commr. Alemtemshi Jamir, ACS & commissioner Banuo Z Jamir, ACS & finance commr Toshi Aier, principal secretary & APC H.K.Khulu, commr. & secy G&M, horti. Sentiyanger Imchen, commr.& secy school edn. Imkonglemba Ao, DUDA secy. T.C Sangtam, secretary PHE & fisheries Zhaleo Rio, commissioner of taxes & excise M.Patton, secretary to governor R.Ramakrishnan, Abhijit Sinha (on deputation to Bihar), secretary irrigation & FC B.Thwang Konyak, secretary economics & stas L.Daniel Longchar, secretary home LR Meilemla Pongener, secretary urban dev. Norma Putsure, Dr.Anu Agarwal (on deputation to Punjab) and joint secretary Abhishek Prakash The DoPT is planning to post all details on its website as a move to bring transparency where information regarding assets, income tax returns and assets of their dependants, submitted by the civil servants is brought in the public domain.
