Committee on public undertakings, NLA meet: The first meeting of the committee on public undertakings, Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) 2011-2012 would be held on May 20, 11am at assembly committee room Kohima. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
EBC convocation: The 37th convocation programme of Eastern Bible College (EBC) would be held on May 14, 10am at the college campus with Rev. C. Lima, ES, USBL, Yangli as guest speaker. The college has invited all the alumni and well wishers at the occasion.
ACD general meeting: Aichisaghemi Community Dimapur (ACD) has convened a general meeting on May 14, 9am at the residence of Viheto Zhimo, SDO Rtd. Naharbari Dimapur.
WSSU golden jubilee finance committee members meeting: Western Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) golden jubilee has convened a finance committee meeting on May 13, 2pm at its office at Thahekhu village. All finance committee members have been requested to attend the meetin.
KWCD general meeting: Kuki Welfare Committee Dimapur (KWCD) has convened general meeting on May 14, 10am at Pu Thangkhokai memorial hall (KCC compound). All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DYE meeting: Dimapur Yanpha Ekhung (DYE) has convened on May 14, 9:30 at the residence of Nchumbemo Humtsoe, H/No 313 Duncan bosti Dimapur. All office bearers and members have been requested to attend the meeting.
DDGBsA inform GBs: Dimapur District GB’s Association (DDGBsA) has informed all concerned GB’s of Dimapur district to contact deputy commissioner, Dimapur along with necessary documents for release of GB’s welfare fund.
SLA general meeting: Sumi Laghilato Area (SLA) Dimapur has convened a general meeting cum selection of new office bearers on May 14, 9am at Western Sumi Hoho ki, Chekiye village 3rd mile. All SLA members, GB’s, chairman and representatives have been requested to attend the meeting.
SAC 2nd meeting of NERC: The 2nd meeting of State Advisory Committee (SAC) of Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) would be held on May 27, 11am at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
VGWS general meeting: Vishepu Ghami Welfare Society (VGWS) has convened a general meeting on May 15, 2pm at the residence of Shikiye Zhimomi, president, Thilixu village (Alo Sa) Dimapur. All members have been requested to attend the meeting.
Free anti-rabies vaccination camp: Animal concern consultant would be organizing a free anti-rabies vaccination camp on May 14, 8am to 12 noon at Animal Concern clinic, near Zinyü gas agency, circular road. Interested pet owners may contact 09436073447, 9612258173 and 9436072892.
Inauguration of Bade village panchayat hall: Bade village Panchayat hall would be inaugurated on May 21, 11am by Azheto Zhimomi, MLA, adviser sericulture and cooperation Nagaland. All land holders, residents and non-residents of Bade village have been requested to attend the programme.
NDA informs: Nagaland Dobashis’ Association (NDA) has informed all Hq/sub-division of eleven districts to collect NDA Golden jubilee fund and submit to NDA golden jubilee finance secretary, Apeo, DB Kohima and Pfughulie PATO DC Kohima before July 10.
DVC peace treaty meet: Dihoma Village Council (DVC) has convened a peace treaty (Vitho Kehou) meet on May 15 at Gariphema village. All invitees from Dihoma village have been requested to reach I.G. stadium by 8am on May 15.
LSWD joint meeting: Lazami Social Welfare Dimapur (LSWD) silver jubilee planning board has convened a joint meeting cum photo session on May 14 at Indigenous Cultural Hall, Jakhalu building complex, City tower, Dimapur right after the prayer fellowship programme.
PKYS, Jakhama village meet: Pfüdia Khel Youth Society of Jakhama village will hold a meeting of its male youth members on May 14 at 10am at Meli Chozou. Members have been informed to contact 9615852360 for more information.
Free medical camp at Rengmapani: Free medical camp was held at Oxford school Rengmapani on April 18 by 155 Bn. CRPF Rengmapani. Oxford school authority has expressed gratitude to commanding office, Sushil Kumar Mishra, R.K.Bahali, sector commander Rengmapani, Dr. Benjamin Rengma and V. K. Yadav, post commander for lending all possible help to more than 200 students and villagers.
GHS Sungro bags best result among govt schools: Government High School (GHS) Sungro, Wokha headmistress Janbeni Kikon stated the school has been producing best results among Government High Schools under Wokha district for two consecutive years. Further, the headmistress has encouraged the teachers to continue their best effort to bring good name to the school.
PLTWFI contributes cash to victim’s family: The Land Transport Workers’ Federation of India (PLTWFI), Dimapur unit contributed `2000 and Motor Trade Union `500 towards the family of late Sahied Khan who was killed in an accident at Dillai gate on May 7 mid-night. The truck bearing registration number AS-25C-3177 involved in the accident resulted in the death of the handyman Sahied Khan, 19 years old, while the driver escaped.
ZVBC women’s camp conducted: Zhuikhu Village Baptist Church (ZVBC), women department conducted a women’s camp on May 6-7 at Zhuikhu village, under the theme ‘come unto Jesus feet’. Altogether 75 women attended the camp. Meanwhile, the women department has expressed gratitude to Alokaho Yeptho, pastor and L. Kisheli Chishi, youth director for gracing the event as speaker and resource person respectively.
Lost and found: One SBC ATM card under SBI with the name Meren and bearing card no.622018555800078365 issued from Jakhama was found by 12 (IR) Battalion E Company on duty at Diphupar. Rightful owner has been requested to claim the same from 12 (IR)Battalion E Company Diphupar with valid documents or contact 9402848933.
KUWA combined meeting: Kuzhami Welfare Association (KUWA) has convened a combined meeting of office bearers, advisory board members, two representatives from each affiliation village/unit and veteran members of KUWA on May 14, 3pm at the residence of its treasurer Neiko Kapfo, Netaji Colony, Civil Hospital Road. All members have been requested to attend the meeting. Further, all village/unit representatives have been requested to submit names of two representatives either president and general secretary or any other members as nominated by the unit and population of the respective villages as per the prescribed format provided to the KUWA along with a subscription fees of `1,000 during the meeting as notified earlier.
Comedians enthrall students in Peren: stand-up comedy show featuring renowned comedians ‘Born Again’ and ‘Chuchang’, the first and second-runners’ up winner of Naga Laughter Sensation was held at All Saints’ Higher Secondary School auditorium, Peren on May 8 organised by Peren Students’ Union. Aotula Ozukum of All Saints Higher Secondary School, Peren, who was ranked in the 10th position in the recently declared NBSE HSLC exam, was felicitated during the show. SDO (Agri) Zielegai Ndang presented the meritorious award. Peren Students’ Union further thanked Chuchang and ‘Born again’ for their outstanding performance and all the well wishers who contributed towards the success of the show.
Moatsu celebrated in Wokha town: Wokha Aor Telongjem (WAT) celebrated Moatsu at an impressive and colourful function held at its treasurer’s residence. The festival was marked with cultural items presented by Wokha Watsu Telongjem and executive committee. Dr. Mapu Jamir, district veterinary officer, Peren graced the occasion as chief guest. Conveying warm Moatsu greetings to the gathering, Dr. Mapu Jamir who was also a former president of WAT said it was like a homecoming for him to be a part of the celebration. He stressed on the importance of absorbing and observing traditions and customs which is vital in identifying a person. Tsukjemtoshi, Yanglu Jamir and Yimzuthung Tsanglao also spoke on the occasion.
