DBC, FTS convocation ceremony

The 28th convocation of Discipleship Bible College (DBC) Dimapur was held on Thursday at the college premises.
Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA), Rev. N Tziidir, senior pastor who was the convocation speaker, congratulated the staff, chairman, management board and students of the college on the occasion.
He said commencement/graduation is always a proud moment, not only for the graduating class but their families and friends, teachers and all those who nurture the graduating class.
He also took time in congratulating the graduates and described the moment as a “soul searching call” to renew their commitment and to prepare for the task ahead.
He further reminded the graduates that a ministry should not give in to the ways of the world.
Altogether 15 students completed their two years course in Master of Divinity, 21 in Bachelor of Theology and 1 in 3 years Master of Divinity degree.
Proficiency award and prizes i.e. D Haralu prize was given to Semson Sing Singnar M. Div and P Temlei Konyak B. Th, academic proficiency award to Khua Za Hnem M. Div and Tsiikjemwati B. Th, Music award categorized in two fields - award for the best contribution in choir to Nipenlo Kath and award for the best contribution in the contemporary music to Tsukjemwati, and evangelism awards to Semson Sing Singnar.
Book prizes for different departments in Master of Divinity in old testament, new testament and history of Christianity was given to Vieson; Theology and Ethics, religion and society, Christian ministry and scripture Khua Za Hnem; Bachelor of Theology, old testament, new testament and history of Christianity to Chubakumla, theology and ethics and religion and society to Tsiikjemwati; Christian ministry to P Temlei Konyak; and scripture to Jotika Rabah.
Other highlights of the programme were welcome speech by Rev. Dr. Nuklu Longkumer, Principal DBC, scripture reading, special song, conferring of degree and diploma.

KOHIMA: Faith Theological Seminary Kohima held its 3rd convocation programme on May 12 at the college chapel hall with Bei-u Angami, deputy commissioner Kohima as chief guest.
Rev. Moa Longchari pastor Mission Baptist church Kohima was the guest speaker.
Speaking at the convocation, the chief guest said the sprit of sacrifice and firm decision should be taken while serving the Lord. He said firm decision was essential while serving the Lord as many of God’s servants succumb to wrong offers by seeking comfort and worldliness.
Rev. Moa Longchari in his speech said few things separate between ordinary and extraordinary servant of God. He said “If you want to be an extraordinary servant of God, be serious and prayerful”. He expressed that God never fail to provide the provision when people truly serve Him and urged the graduating students to serve the Lord with all their heart wherever they go.
Rev. Dr. Visielie Angami College’s Principal in his welcome address thanked the Almighty God, faculty members, students and parents.
The service was led by Asola Jamir, registrar and Ruth Chishi delivered speech on behalf of graduating students.
Altogether 14 students graduated with 4 M. Div. (Regular), 6 M. Div (Extension), 2 B. Th. (Regular) and 1 B. Th.(extension).
Ruth chishi (M. Div.), Bendangnungla Linyü (M. Div.), Omega Sumi (B. Th.), and Keneigulie Mere (M. Div.) bagged Academic best student, Best term paper, Academic best student and Lt. Rev. Zelhouzhü’s award respectively.
