Demonstration on fishery was held on May 30 at Upper Baghty where fingerlings were distributed to all participants.
Programme on Self Help Group (SHG) appraisal & commodity interest group (CIG) mobilization was organized by ATMA, Sanis and Bhandari Block on May 31 at Baghty town hall.
Dr. Mhonchan Shitri project coordinator ATMA, Wokha exhorted the SHG’s by citing an example of success stories of SHG’s from other blocks took seed money from ATMA and have become self sufficient through dedication and hard work.
In the technical session, food preservation of horticultural crops was delivered by Subenthung Yanthan DPD, ATMA, Wokha. Sustainable livelihood through aquaculture was delivered by Mhomo Murry SMS, Sanis Block, ATMA Wokha, respectively. Meanwhile Janbenthung Odyuo BTM Sanis and Wozhuro Block, dwelt on the sales and distribution channel of Agricultural products.
Altogether 22 SHG’s representing 15 villages under Sanis & Bhandari Block participated in the training programme. Food preservatives were also distributed to all the participants.
Meanwhile, farm school on fishery was inaugurated on June 1 at Alikhum village, by ATMA team Bhandari Block and fish farm management training was imparted by Mhomo Murry, SMS, Sanis Block while Subenthung Yanthan DPD, ATMA, Wokha briefed the farmers on concept of farm school and its importance.
