Nagaland Contractor and Suppliers Union (NCSU), in a memorandum submitted to Nagaland minister for school education on Wednesday has demanded the tender notice for various GHS (Under RMSA) to be kept in abeyance.
NCSU in a memorandum signed by K. L. Setuo Rutsa, vice president, Nagaland Contractor and Suppliers Union and John Kath, general secretary, informed the union had submitted a representation to the director (RMSA) to review the earlier advertisement which was published on May 22, 2011 in a local daily for construction of various (GHS) under RMSA since it had detected many discrepancies on the advertisement, affirming that a single contractor or firm will not be possible to carry out the work as locations were scattered hither and thither. However, the NCSU said the directorate had failed to respond to their request.
As such, the NCSU disclosed it was compelled to appraise the minister for school education to intervene into the matter favorably to keep the said tender in abeyance till the matter was settled. The union also requested the minister to deliver justice to everyone by breaking up the tender GHS-wise so as to enable registered contractors to avail the opportunity to participate in the tender.
“Failing which the union have no way out but to fight for justice for further necessary action” cautioned Nagaland Contractor and Suppliers Union .
