A seminar on anti-malaria prevention campaign took place on June 7 at EAC HQ Phor. Addressing the gathering as resource person, Dr. Puvezo Khalo, MO PHC Wezeho, spoke on the awareness of anti-malaria.
He said there were different types of malaria sickness and 2.7 million people die due to Malaria every year in the world. The MO said to prevent malaria, the department requires the co-operation of the administration and NGOs different level.
He said the government had issued medical facilities to install machines at PHCs, availability of medicines at PHC daily, OPD for patients suffering from different sickness, immunization, village health nutrition day, minor operation, regular health camp, family planning, operation opportunity available for both male and female, maternal and child health including lab facilities, TB test and available of ambulance for 21 villages for Phoyisa and Phokhungri and a functional PHC at Wezeho.
