CPA spot study tour to Dzulakie, Dimapur

The Committee on Public Accounts, Nagaland Legislative Assembly consisting of Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, chairman and members C.L. John, K.L. Chishi and Joshua Sumi undertook spot study tour to Dzulakie and Dimapur from June 6 to 7. The team conducted the tour concerning the audit paras of Comptroller and Auditor General of India Report for the year 2007-08.
According to a press release issued by secretary A.E. Lotha, the committee visited Dzulake Riverine Project, Christian Institute of Health Science and Research, Referral Hospital Drug Testing Laboratory, Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, 22.92 MW Heavy Fuel Oil Thermal Power Plant, Construction of City Shopping Mall Complex New Market and constructed building for Deputy Commissioner’s office (old) at Chumukedima.
During the tour, the team verified the status of the work done and also assessed the expenditure incurred.
Meanwhile, the observation and verification during the tour would be taken up during the evidence meeting within a very short period of time. The committee would also visit the ongoing Kohima Cultural Hall construction on June 14 to ascertain the ground reality.
