Nagaland university non-teaching staffs’ association (NUNTSA), which is on an indefinite pen-down” strike since June 2 last in all the university campuses, has affirmed to continue agitation till university authority fulfilled all its “genuine demands.” Asserting that so far the authority has turned a deaf ear to its demands, the NUNTSA vice-president Akiya Asumi, general secretary Mhonbemo and treasurer Toboka, in a statement, reminded the university authority that nothing short of the its demands would be acceptable. NUNTSA is demanding the university authority to hold departmental promotion committee meet and conduct departmental promotion exam (DPE); implementation of assured career progression (ACP)/ modified assured career progression (MACP) scheme; appointments under compassionate grounds be enforced on regular basis and not on contract as per the central civil service recruitment rules and all new appointees after the completion of the probationary period, their services be confirmed..
