JNV Mokokchung district selection test: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) selection test would be conducted on July 10 from 9:30 am to 12 pm. For Mangkolemba block test would be held at Baptist higher secondary school Mangkolemba, Ongpongkong block in John Douglas Yimyu ward Mokokchung, Mokokchung block in Government higher secondary Mayangnokcha (Mokokchung), Kubolong block in government high school Sungratsu, Changtongya-I block in government high school Changtongya and Changtongya-I block government high school Tuli. Admit cards would be available from principal JNV Yimyu Mokokchung Nagaland till June 30 and afterwards admit cards may be collected from the examination centers, added principal JNV.
ANTA informs tourist zonal and local taxis: All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) has informed all tourist zonal and local taxis to paste radium stickers for accident awareness as per the directives given by government of Nagaland for safety of all the taxis and public. All the taxis have been requested to paste radium stickers at accessories point near tata parking, opposite Amway office at lower rate below market price
St. Mary HS felicitation program: St. Mary’s High School Mon held its felicitation programme in honour of Heihying A.Konjak, the first Konyak girl from Mon district schools to secure in top 50 positions in HSLC examination on May 23. CL John MLA and chairman of Marcofed Nagaland was the chief guest. CL John in his speech highlighted that education play a key role in the development of the region, and the students from Mon district should follow Heihying as an example to bring good name and honour to the district. He also said Konyak students were gifted and talented and they should work harder to exploit their talents. Further, K.J.Suresh awarded the topper a cash award of `10,000.
DCCI and KCC joint meeting: Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI) and Kohima Chamber of Commerce (KCC) held a joint meeting on June 10 at Hotel Saramati. After a brief introductory session, DCCI president Hokivi Chishi welcomed the KCC team headed by KCC, vice president A.Daili. President DCCI expressed the need of learning from KCC in different areas of business activities and also to work together in order to create a smooth and peaceful atmosphere both at Kohima and Dimapur. Further, Daili, vice president KCC congratulated the new team of DCCI office bearers and also expressed support and encouragement, and also assured KCC of support and assistance in every way possible.
CAO Kyong region informs: Central Administrative Officer (CAO) has informed all state government employees of district headquarter and government offices within the region to attend their duties and deliver as per their assigned post. In a press release issued by Orenthung Ovung, caretaker CAO said action would be taken against government employees failing to attend their duties and also said the press release was issued to eradicate unnecessary harassment meted out to the public and to promote the welfare of the people.
‘Child Labour Day’ volunteers informed : Community Educational Centre Society, the organiser of the programme ‘Child Labour day’ to be observed on June 12 has informed volunteers that DDSC stadium gate would be open by 4:pm. Organising team has informed all volunteers to reach the venue in time.

ATMA peren meeting held: Coordination meeting cum felicitation of Farmers Friend, ATMA Peren district was held at town hall Peren on June 9. Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, deputy commissioner Peren, Khrienuo C Metha called upon the district farmers to attend ATMA meetings and be equipped with the agricultural technology and know-how from the specialized department. The DC while welcoming the new project director ATMA, N. Yeheto Nartho SDFO Jalukie, also expressed her appreciation to the outgoing project director ATMA, Alemla DFO Tuensang for her sincere effort in reviving the activities of ATMA in the district.Further felicitation of 21 Farmers Friend of the district was led by the outgoing project director who gave away mobile handsets and SIM cards. The programme was chaired by R Santsu Kithan, SDAO and deputy PD ATMA and the vote of thanks by Kumui Nring, deputy project director ATMA. bodies and former leader to attend the assembly.
New team of office bearers: Land Owners Electric Project (LOU) Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP) has re-constitute and elected office bearers and committee members for the current tenure of 2008-09 to 2012-13. The team would be led by Y. Odyou as its president and Chumbemo Murry as general secretary and Habemo Shitri as convener of disciplinary committee, other office bearers and committee were also elected. In a press release issued by Y. Odyou president LOU DHEP said that the re-sizing of the union has been done following the judgment order of the court of deputy commissioner, Wokha.
ANDFMSA: All Nagaland District Forests Ministerial Staff Association (ANDFMSA) held a general meeting on May 17 at conference hall, directorate office. New members were selected during the meet to be headed by Ngampie Zeliang, Kohima forest division as president and Jangkholal Thangeo, society frostery division as general secretary, drafting committee on constitution of the association was also set up.
Organic farming training at Molvom village: One day training program on biotechnology led organic farming in northeast region on pineapple sponsored by DBT New Delhi was organized by KVK Dimapur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Medziphema Centre on June 4 at Molvom village.Dr. Anamika Sharma, program coordinator KVK Dimapur ICAR Nagaland Centre was the resource person for the training session assisted by Imliakum Pongen, program assistant (FM) and Pynshailang Mawthoh, program assistant (CA).Theory on package and practices of organic cultivation of pineapple and organic certification process, post harvest handling of pineapple was the thrust area of the training program.
NNC Yimchungru on Kiumukam’s termination : Reacting to the press statement which was published on June 7 in local dailies under the caption ‘six regions warns V. Nagi’, the Naga National Council of Yimchungru Region informed to all bonafied citizens of Nagaland that, termination of Kiumukam was resolved on June 2 meeting held at Tsasher village. The Yimchungru region further informed the six unidentified region to contact the authority, 9862437841 for further information relating to Kiumukam termination from his national service and warned to one and all to stop paper war.
Lost and Found: Naga National Council (NNC) has recovered a stolen Bajaj Pulsar 150cc, black color with engine No. DHGB3C20892 and chassis No. DHVBJC20930. ZKU condoled: Zeliang Kangtsa Union (ZKU) has expressed sorrow and grief over the sudden demise of Pauning Haikam Kangtsa, retired language officer, education department on June 7. The union conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
