Students of the Zeliangrong community who excelled in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2011 conducted by the NBSE were felicitated by student organizations at Zeliangrong Baudi Hall, Jalukie on June 11.
Organized by Zeliangrong Students Union (N) to encourage and counsel the upcoming students, the program was attended by hundreds of school students, parents, Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN), Zeliangrong Baudi (N) Zeliang Students Union Dimapur, Zeliangrong Students Union Kohima, Church organizations, Zeliangrong Students Union (AMN), teachers and well-wishers.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Kewizun Zeliang, DSP (Comm) NAPTO urged students to be sincere, hard working and dedicated.
Rezulule, DSP (Home) emphasized on the need to indulge in healthy completion with others where the most important competition was “competition with oneself”.
Rezulule also implored on the upcoming students to be free from corruption since they will one day face the challenges and enticement of corruption in their lives.
Jamithung Lotha NCS, SDO (civil) Jalukie urged the meritorious students to be vigilant and to keep up with the benchmark they have set in their studies.
Citing his own experience, the SDO urged students not to lose touch with mathematics as they will stumble should they appear UPSC exam.
Congratulatory and encouragement speeches were delivered by Raitu Chawang, President Zeliangrong Baudi (AMN), Abraham, Speaker, Zeliangrong Baudi (N) and C.D Soihiam Pastor RBC, Mhainamtsi.
Special song was presented by Baptist School Jalukie-B.
