T.R. Zeliang seeks support for NPF success in Manipur

Minister for planning and coordination and in-charge of NPF Manipur unit, T.R. Zeliang, called upon Nagas particularly Zeliangrong people to help in strengthening the party which was recently launched in Manipur.
Addressing NPF workers during the welcoming function of new members who joined the party fold from various political parties like INC, NCP etc at New Jalukie on Saturday, T.R. Zeliang said that successful launching of NPF in Manipur was a milestone in the history of the Nagas, and would benefit the Nagas in the long run and sought the support of all concerned.
Asserting that Naga integration should be fought politically, T.R. Zeliang also said the successful launching of NPF party, in spite of so many hurdles was as good as achieving integration while calling all Nagas, especially the Zeliangrong tribe to support the NPF whole heartedly.
He reminded the people that NPF was one of the oldest regional political parties in India and has changed its name and manifestos to suit all parts of the country.
Reiterating that no one can stop the NPF from spreading its wing to other regions of India, with the party being democratically accepted by Election Commission of India under Indian Constitution, T.R. Zeliang, said the expansion was not in interest of the party, but for the benefit of the whole Nagas.
He expressed hope that in the forthcoming general election of Manipur state, which is likely to be preponed, the NPF would receive berth. T.R. Zeliang also called upon NPF workers to play honest politics and work sincerely for the uplift of the people in conformation with DAN govt. policies and programme.
He also reiterated that peace and development were the two faces of the same coin, and that the DAN regime had achieved the objective of this slogan.
General secretary (Central) Yanger, secretary (Central) Khrielezo, Dennis, president, NPF Peren division and several leaders spoke on the occasion. Akhuan, who joined NPF from INC spoke on behalf of all new comers during the function.
