ANCSU calls-off indefinite dharna

The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Sunday after an emergency meeting decided to “relax” the indefinite dharna against Nagaland University for delaying the under graduate degree results. In a statement asst. general secretary, ANCSU Metsivikho Meyase said after the assurance letter given by the governor of Nagaland also the chief rector of the university, on behalf of the vice chancellor (VC), the union decided to relax the dharna. In the letter forwarded by the governor’s secretariat to ANCSU, the vice chancellor had requested for one more week to complete evaluation of the answer scripts and four days to declare the results (Arts stream) after moderation, considering the results of science which was already declared online. However, Meyase said the union will be compelled to resume its further course of action if the university fails to comply with the request made by the VC.
