‘Demands day’ June 14

: In pursuance of the demands of the people in relation to medicines, the state medical and sales representatives would also join the rest of the nation in observing “demands day” June 14.
Their 5-point demand to the centre include viz. prevent multinational companies take over of Indian companies; revive public sector drug units including vaccine producing plants and defend India sector companies; ensure availability of all essential medicines and stop banning of well established products of Indian companies without substantial ground and protect jobs of workers; cap on all drug prices; minimum MRP on all essential drugs; no excise duties on other medicines and revert to cost based system and stop unethical trade and marketing practices by drug companies and take effective steps against fake drugs.
CRU(NER)Dimapur, secretary & central executive member P. Mazumdre said a memo would be sent to prime minister through DC Dimapur.
