Three farmer’s club launched in Wokha

The State Bank of India, Wokha Branch organized the launching of NABARD farmers’ club on June 14 at Wokha Village Council Hall.
On the occasion, three farmers’ clubs – Wokha village farmers’ club; Phiro village farmers’ club and Totsu village farmers’ club were officially launched by Poji, assistant manager, NABARD, Dimapur.
The meeting was chaired by Noyingbemo Murry, chief coordinator, Wokha village farmers’ club. Short speeches were delivered by Lanuteka Imchen, branch manager, State Bank of India, Wokha branch and Khumdemo Ezung, i/c. KVK, Wokha.
Lanuteka Imchen exhorted the three farmers’ clubs to work for overall development of their respective villages and to assist the Bank in identifying genuine farmers, monitoring the implementation of the project and timely recovering of the loan.
Khumdemo Ezung highlighted the various activities of KVK Wokha and promise 100% support to the farmers. Poji, assistant manager, NABARD, Dimapur conducted the base level orientation training programme for members of the three farmers clubs.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Chanchio Odyuo, chief coordinator, Phiro village farmers’ club.
