Claiming that there have been “backdoor appointments” in the state power department since the year 2009 till date, the Naga students’ federation (NSF) Tuesday urged the power minister to immediately cancel those backdoor appointments in order to deliver justice to the qualified and deserving students.
In a representation to the minister, the NSF claimed that the department had already made appointments for the following posts:
1 post of S.O (E) grade-II
5 posts of JE (E)
1 post of JE (M)
3 posts of SDO (E) class-I gazetted without advertisement and proper interview.
“The federation while determining our sincere effort to resist against the menace of backdoor and incompetent appointments, the federation urge upon your esteem authority to immediately cancel those backdoor appointments in order to deliver justice to the qualified and deserving students,” stated the NSF vice president Sinhilo Thong and assistant general secretary Tongpang Ozukum.
The signatories cautioned that failure to comply with their “genuine demand” within 15 days, the NSF should not be misconstrued or held responsible for any action initiated against the department.
