NCRC Sumi Aphuyemi youth camp: The Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Sumi Aphuyemi youth department would be organizing summer camp from June 20 to 22 at Livira Kohima under the theme “Metaneoh”. The department has informed interested individuals to contact their respective Churches or any executive members.
Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland informs: All chairman and secretary, head G.B, V.D.B secretary and public leaders have been asked to attend an emergency meeting to be held at Zeliangrong Baudi Hall, Jalukie town at 11am on June 24. The main agendas to be discussed would include Ntangki National Park, Naga Hoho consultative meet, land issue and finance related matters.
ISU felicitation prog: Ighanumi students’ union (ISU) would be organizing a felicitation programme for successful students of HSLC and HSSLC on June 25 at Ighanumi NCRC Sumi Church. All students, executive members and advisors have requested to attend the service. The union also informed that `500 would be imposed as fine against the absentee executive members.
KYU meeting: Kohima Yikhum Union (KYU) has convened a mid-year general meeting on June 25, 10am at the residence of its union chairman Vanthungo Odyuo near Seyie gas agency. Members have been requested to attend the meeting along with yearly membership and information of family members for general census 2011.
YSUK meeting: Yimchungü Students’ Union Kohima (YSUK) has convened an emergency meeting on June 18, 9am at the residence of its union treasurer. All executives have been requested to attend the meeting and students to submit the membership fee for the session 2011-2012 to the executives/finance secretary before June 30.

Farm school inaugurated in Noklak Tuensang: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tuensang was inaugurated a farm school under Noklak block on June 7. The farm school comprise of seedlings, bee-keeping, banana and passion fruit plantations.

NSF public grievances cell: In the interest of general public and particularly the student community, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has constituted a Public Grievances Cell (PGC) headed by its vice president as chairman. Informing this in a press release issued by Vepa Domeh, secretary publicity and information said whosoever comes to the federation office for any grievances should have proper and accurate information regarding the matter put forward and should be duly addressed to vice president the chairman, Public Grievances Cell for consideration and necessary action.
Tuluni 2011: The Sumi Hoho Nagaland with the Sumi frontal organisations shall be organizing “Sumi Elders Tuluni Celebrations 2011” on the theme “Peace, Unity and Reconciliation” on July 7 and 8 at Zunheboto Town. Distinguished Sumi Elders from every nook and corner of Nagaland shall be attending the celebration. During the occasion, the Hoho requests every house hold of Zunheboto Town to put up a white flag to make the celebrations a meaningful one.
NSS camp at Niroyo village: As part of the annual special NSS camping programme, Bailey Baptist College (BBC) Wokha conducted NSS camp at Niroyo village from May 22 to 28 attended by staff and students of BBC, elders, students and youths of Niroyo village. The campers led by Leonard Mozhui, programme officer, NSS BBC Wokha unit conducted sanitation drive by cleaning the streets and compounds besides constructing a volleyball court. Further resource person Tongpangmatsung Lkr, DPM NRHM Wokha spoke on HIV and AIDS to create awareness in the village.
Assessment camp for IED: District Mission Authority Zunheboto would be conducting assessment camp for children in the age group of 6-14 years in all the five educational blocks under Zunheboto district. VEC/chairman/ secretary have been requested to bring the children to the respective EBRCs on their own arrangement as on June 24, 9am at Zunheboto block; June 27, 9am at Satakha block; June 28, 9am at Aghunato block; June 29, 9am at Akuluto block and on July 1, 9am at Pughoboto block.
Training on library software: Department of Art and Culture, Nagaland in collaboration with National Library Kolkata would be organizing a week long training on application of computer, library software in libraries from June 21 to 25 at Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Mokokchung. The inaugural function would be held at 10am and Prof. Kannan, vice chancellor Nagaland University, Lumami would be the chief guest. Expert resource persons from different institutes would train the trainees. Cultural officers of Mokokchung, Wokha, Mon and Zunhebhoto districts have been requested to send participants from their respective districts excluding last year’s participants.
IRCSN 25th general meeting: The IRCS Nagaland state branch has convened its 25th annual general meeting on June 28 and 29. The business session will be conducted on June 28, 11am at Red Cross conference hall, Kohima. The ceremonial function would be held on June 29, 11am at the Conference hall, Red Cross Complex, Kohima where Nikhil Kumar, governor and president, IRCSN and Neiphiu Rio, chief minister and vice president IRCSN would deliver the presidential and vice presidential address respectively. All patrons, vice patrons, life members, life associate members and well wishers have been requested to attend the meeting.
Village health and nutrition day at Chuchuyimpang: Department of Health & Family Welfare, Mokokchung conducted Village Health and Nutrition Day (VHND) on June 15 at Community hall, Chuchuyimpang village under Ongpangkong Block. The training was held in co-ordination with Mobile Medical Unit and Mobile ICTC. Altogether 6 pregnant women received Antenatal Check ups (ANC), 4 women received Post Natal Care (PNC), 10 children were immunized and 45 patients received free health check ups. The MMU team led by Dr. Limayanger and Sentisangla GNM conducted free health check ups and free medicines were also distributed. Counselling and HIV testing were also done on pregnant women and other patients led by Moa counselor and Imti lab technician. Health topics on maternal health and immunization were also discussed with women health workers, ASHAs, AWWs of Chuchuyimpang, DPM, BPM of Ongpangkong block and media officer also participated during the VHND.
NPF Kiphire divisional unit welcome new member: Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) Kiphire divisional unit and central office of NPF has welcomed David Thingchem Sangtam, secretary NPCC for joining the NPF party along with his supporters from 59 A/C into NPF fold.
