He reminded the students that as leaders, one has to first change oneself to change others. He said, one should gather courage to practice truth and non- violence even in violent and conflict situations and that one should not just be mute spectators to the confusions around.
He concluded with a group activity where he asked every student to reflect upon oneself, listen to the one’s own inner voice and pointed out their strength and weaknesses and transform their flaws. He also inaugurated the new Peace Channel brochures to be used in Kohima District.
Headmaster of Holy Cross School, Kohima Ashikho also spoke at the programme. Victor Kevilhouthie Yhome, coordinator of Peace Channel, Kohima District facilitated the programme. The program included with prayers, songs and several sharing and expressions by the students from the different institutions.
