A one-day sensitization-cum-interactive session on Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 was held at Directorate of Health and Welfare, Kohima on June16.
Lalhuma, chief information commissioner Nagaland was the resource person accompanied by Kevinino P Meru, state information commissioner.
The resource person highlighted the importance of meticulous maintenance of records and furnishing of timely response to any citizen who may seek information. A power point presentation was also given where important sections of the Act were deliberated upon and discussed.
The program was chaired by Menukhol John, commissioner and secretary Department of Health and Family Welfare and attended by Dr. Imtimeren Jamir, principal director Directorate of Health and Family Welfare; senior department officials, PIO of the directorate and PIOs from the districts. Dr. Yangerlemla, director (Health) delivered the vote of thanks.
