ILP verification in Zunheboto: To check influx of illegal immigrants in Zunheboto, All Sumi Students Union (SKK) would be verifying inner line permit (ILP) card at Zunheboto from June 24 to 30. SKK informed all non-locals residing within Zunheboto to report and submit two recent passport photos at office hours.
NCF re-structure office bearers: The Niuland Citizen’s Forum (NCF) in its general meeting on June 11 re-structured its office bearers. The forum elected Isak G Zhimomi as president and Kakishe K Shikhu as general secretary and elected Kupushe Holo Rtd. deputy director art & culture, Kahoto Zhimo class -1 contractor and Atoka V Awomi class -1 contractor as advisors; three executive members were also inducted. NCF further resolved to collect Rs.100 from each members’ w.e.f from June to cater to the needs of deprived citizens of Niuland. Meanwhile, NCF resolved to conduct consultative meeting with all departmental officers / head of sub-division with approval from ADC Niuland.
ZSU emergency meet: Zeliangrong Student Union has invited its executive and senior leaders to an emergency meeting at Jalukie Town on June 20 at the office of Zeliangrong Social, Economic & Cultural Reformation Society office, near Apangbou’s residence Ward No. 9 Jalukie town.
Tob Visionary Home ties-up with Hero Mindmine: Tob Visionary Home, located on L. Chase complex, ICICI bank building, Midland has tied-up with Hero Mindmine on June 17 to provide special communication skill classes to the students. According to proprietor Rongpi, the business tie-up has been initiated and realized for the sole purpose of providing best form of education to the student’s to help them excel in life.
KSU coordination meeting: Kyong Students’ Union (KSU) has convened a coordination meeting with Kyong Hoho and Eloe Hoho on June 18, 3pm at its office headquarter, Wokha.
CWSD emergency meeting: Chishilimi Welfare Society Dimapur (CWSD) has convened an emergency meeting on June 19, 2pm at the residence of Kiviho Chishi, director Geology and Mining, Fellowship colony Dimapur.
18th summer Bible school: Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS) and Town Baptist Church (TBC), Dimapur would be jointly organizing 18th summer Bible school from June 28 to July 2 under the theme ‘chosen generation’. All students from Class I to XII of any school/Church have been requested to attend the summer school by registering themselves on or before June 20. Registration forms are available at TBC and CHSS.
HVSU mass social work: Humtso village students union and Humtso village youth would be conducting going mass social work in the village on June 18. All members of HVSU residing in Wokha town have been requested to participate. Bus service would be provided for which students’ are informed to reach the police point by 6am.
Essay, painting competition: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) would be organizing an essay and painting competition on June 18 at Dimapur Government College from 9 am onwards. Union informed all participating institute to send the students at the venue by 8.30 am and get registered. The theme of essay competition is ‘the role of students in balancing the symbolic relation’ between 1200 and1500 words for students from Class-XI to degree level and painting competition on the theme ‘green is clean’ for Class-VIII to Class-X. Only colours pencil would be allowed.
Training of Trainers under IDSS: A six-day national level Training of Trainers (ToT) would be conducted under integrated disease surveillance project, Nagaland, from June 20 at medical directorate conference hall. The training is organized by the ministry of health and family welfare, New Delhi.
ANPSTA clarifies: All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers’ Association (ANPSTA) has clarified the news item “ANPSTA reiterates demands; threatens stir”, published on this daily on June 17, that the third sentence should read as “that untrained teachers should not be invited for teachers interview because there are still enough number of trained teachers available in our state” and not as mentioned.

1.5kg opium seized, 1 held: Police personnel manning Khuzama check gate on Friday seized one and half kilogram of opium and arrested one person in this connection. According to police source, the consignment was seized from a Sumo Tata which was proceeding towards Dimapur. The culprit identified as one Balram Pukhrel, son of Karna Bahadur of Kamjong village under Chassad Police Station, Ukhrul District, Manipur. Case has been registered at Khuzama Police Station and investigation is on till the filing of this report. (Correspondent)
Lost and Found: A puppy was found loitering around Government High School colony, Half Nagarjan, Dimapur. The owner have been requested to contact 9436004795 to claim the puppy.
House razed in Pfutsero: A house belonging to Wetezu Kupa, a resident of PWD colony in Pfutsero was completely razed on June 15 properties were completely destroyed, however no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, PWD colony youth organization has thanked captain of 13 Assam Rifle posted in Pfutsero and army personnel, SDPO and staff, administrators, town committee advisors, colony members for their timely intervention .The youth organization president, Kekhrozulo Ritse appealed the higher authority to compensate the victim’s family.
