Socialist Janata Party (SJP) while welcoming the formation of new i.e Socialist party stated that efforts of Panna Lal Surana in forming a new party should ensure that formation was done in spirit of the meeting conducted at Pune on June 19 and 20. Socialist Janata Party vice president (national) I. S Akhei Achumi in a press release stated the decision to form the new party was decided on January 22 at a meeting in Gandhi Peace Foundation where Panna Lal Surana would form the new party without causing loss of socialist fraternity and to continue to hold his post as convener of the socialist front. In this connection SJP vice president (national) has requested Surana and his associates to send resolutions of the dissolutions of other political parties, organisations who participated in Pune. SJP vice president (national) also said the party would attend the meeting at Hyderabad and has asked Surana for suggestion for further necessary meeting at the party high command.
